The first notice concerns the debut of the WoS Archive Retro Gamer section, which opens with the presentation of the Art Of C&VG feature. Brimming with beautiful high-resolution artwork (far bigger than it was printed in the magazine), you'd be advised to give all 21MB of this rather lovely page a few moments to download, depending on your connection speed, before attempting to view it.

Sadly it doesn't include the splendid artwork the mag commissioned for the feature, but there are more screenshots.

I think it's a smashing little piece - it's fun and zippy, and since it was for a proper grown-up book it's full of "clever" little writerly tricks to make it more enjoyable to read. WoS readers will have heard the sentiments in it before, but it's still worth a look, I think.
