Namco Museum: Virtual Arcade £9.99 http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/6072255/Namco-Museum-Virtual-Arcade/Product.html Wait! I know you all think, 'Big whoop, eh, ANOTHER RETRO COLLECTION' but this one contains Pacman Championship Edition, Galaga Legions and MR Driller Online, which are all on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 points each or more than a tenner in real Earth money. |

800 points is under seven quid, not more than 10 - but yes, that's still a good deal if you don't have them all and don't mind running them off disc rather than the HD. Although by all accounts it's a fuck-awful hack job of a compilation with most games lacking leaderboards, full-screen options and so on. |

I didn't word that very well at all. I, of course, meant buying all three together on XBLA would add up to more than £10, natch. Shame to hear it's another botch-job of a collection, though. Edited by Troublegum, Jul 14 2009, 05:02 PM.

SNK Arcade Classics 1 for the Wii, £5.99. Not the best selection of games, but it has the uncensored original Metal Slug in 60Hz, with Classic Controller compatibility. http://www.shopto.net/WII/GAMES/WIISN00-SNK%20Arcade%20Classics%20-%20Vol%201%20(16%20in%201).html |

Wii with Wiimote, nunchuk and Wii Sports for £149.99 http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/technology/computing_and_gaming/gaming/115635807_nintendo_wii_console_white.html Xbox 360 Elite with Bioshock and HDMI cable for £179.99 http://www.zavvi.co.uk/zavvi/10059948.product If Microsoft made that the official price and bundle they'd crush Sony like a tiny bug. I wonder why they don't want to for the sake of the pennies that chucking Bioshock and a cable in would cost. |

Not sure if this thread is still popular, but.... Steam currently have a good deal going on the complete Unreal set - £9.20 for what's usually a 23-squid-busting lineup. I took advantage of their Half-Life 1 Anthology offer a while back - £3.05 for the lot. And Blue Shift alone was a ridiculous single pound and penny at the time. Kinda makes GOG.com's Unreal prices look rather rubbish atm. Although at least they had a BOGOF deal with Interplay's back catalogue recently that I also took advantage of. |

55.8% off all Half-Life titles at Steam. Duration unknown. Apparently it's all thanks to a GameSpot poll which determined That Speccy Suity Bloke to be Teh Greatest Of All Eternity or some gubbins like that. (Maybe I shouldn't point out that this doesn't seem quite as bargainous as the previous Valve deal they ran a while ago - £3.95 for HL1 Anthology compared to the £3.05 that I got for it, for instance.) Wii, DSi, PSP and PS3 slim consoles 20% off in-store at Sainsburys. One per customer. And online, too: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/technology/computing_and_gaming/gaming/specialoffers/list.html Brings a PS3 down to the 199 mark - I was tempted in the local store; all Wiis had gone and they had 2 PS3s left (plus a half-dozen DSis and a couple of PSPs). [Edit: D'oh! Typo!] Edited by smac, Nov 11 2009, 03:02 PM.

Ah, 'half-dozen'. Thanks. The more I go on, the more I wonder if I'm finding out about my impending dementia through the degradation of my typing skills. That's not even a typo - that's my brain wronging the write thing. But then I realise I just spend too much time reading Internet forums and that's probably the explanation. Yes, that must be it. The consoles were in a huge display unit by the entrance - if it started out anywhere near full, then they went pretty quickly. |

If that was still in stock, I would now have bought a Wii. I'm getting serious Wii-covet once again. Shurely there's a WiiII on it's way soon, tho', with out-of-the-box Motion Plus and HD and the like? HMM. |
