From the Office of the Arch-Chancellor

Greetings everyone,

It has been longer than usual since I wrote the last update, and I apologise for this, but I will try to keep you updated on the happenings of the organisation.

Earlier this month, we have had another round of elections.
Scoochi2 was reconfirmed as Minister of Intelligence; he hopes to top the excellent work of the previous term with the development of a long-term intelligence sharing option to the benefit of our member regions, which would be implemented before the end of the term.

Spartzerium and South Boston Irishmen (both with previous Cabinet and deputy Cabinet experience) were elected unopposed, respectively, to the positions of Chief of Defence Force and Regional Recruitment Officer.

During the last term the Recruitment Office has been left in a state of neglect because of real-life constraints, but SBI has already started approaching potential new members.

Spartz (recently promoted to the highest rank reachable, General of the Alliance) will have to deal with the setup of the Militia which, with a separate subforum will allow unexperienced players to gain experience from officers-mentors and take part in selected missions without compromising the security of the more delicate update operations.

The Speaker election is the only one which has seen some excitement and its outcome has been uncertain until the end. UK representative Nicholas Stillwell took a considerable early lead, only to see North Pacific/Atlantis member Lemmingtopias catching up and defeating him by just one vote (7-6) in the last day of the vote.

The Regional Assembly took advantage of some spare time, in between the various discussions which are going on, to review the membership status of inactive regions. After a vote, The Flying Squadron, Fidelia, Soviet Union and Trav Khar have all been downgraded to protectorate. In virtue of past contributions, a region which has fallen into deep inactivity can still be accorded full Charter rights (though they are only allowed one representative in the Assembly).

The Rangers have taken part in 8 defences and 3 liberations.
On the foreign affairs side, we are happy to announce that we have estabilished a forum embassy with Balder.

If you have any question, as always, feel free to ask me or my Vice-Chancellors, Spartz and Indian Gangs.
That's all for this update, and you will receive a new in two weeks.

Frattastan
Arch-Chancellor of the Founderless Regions Alliance

(Thoughts of the majority of the representatives on Rangers applicants rejected for lack of experience.)
