Received from: The Topid Democracy of Daynor (7 hours ago) Hello Mikeswill! I'm contacting you because you are in charge of the WFE/Embassies in-game of NationStates. Since becoming delegate of The South Pacific I've been reviewing most of the policies of the region with my cabinet. One of the changes that Foreign Affairs Minister HEM and myself agreed upon is closing all in-game embassies with regions that have not applied for an embassy on our offsite forum. As you can imagine, as a feeder region we get so many requests for in-game embassies the only way to keep them to a manageable number is to decline all of them that do not apply on the offsite forums, which I've done over the last three weeks. But that is also unfair because other regions, like your own, get to have embassies in-game because they applied before I became delegate. For this reason, we will begin the process of breaking all in-game embassies with regions that have yet to apply for an embassy on our offsite forum on Sunday. Which means on Sunday we will close our in-game embassy with NationStates if no one has applied for an offsite embassy on our regional forums. We do not mean anything personal towards your region, and apologize for any inconvenience. Also, I encourage you to apply for an embassy offsite on our forums (link can be found in The South Pacific's WFE). Respectfully, - Daynor Delegate, The South Pacific ******* At such point Mikeswill began the process of an embassy request but found that under Section 2, iii your Region requires that we conduct our government on our off site forum. First, as soveriegn Region we conduct our politics as we see fit without duress from other Regions; Second, our Region conducts its governmental affairs via the Endorsement process. This process has served our Founderless Region for seven years. Thus: After 110 days of diplomatic ties with The South Pacific and seven years of good relations with their previous WA Delegates said Region has decided to alter the requirements of our relations to insist upon utilizing their off site forum measures. These measures disqualify the NationStates region from diplomatic Embassies with their region. The NationStates region has always put forth more emphasis on the in game interplay rather than the off site forum play. We recognize that many regions, especially the feeders, thrive on off site forum gamemanship and must continue to serve this importance. However, for our region it has never had such importance. As such, WA Delegate The Mikes Hope Essence of Mikeswill has begun the closure of our Embassy with The South Pacific. Should The South Pacific wish to reconsider their requirement that our Soveriegnty conform to their requirements, The NationStates Region shall reconsider Embassy closure with such an esteemed Region. The Mikes Hope Essence of Mikeswill WA Delegate The NationStates Region |

As Minister of Justice it is certainly something I would be happy to look at. EDIT: That policy was that of the former Foreign Minister, and can be reversed by the incumbent. |

The following is some information on our Region which we would submit as an application for reestablishment of Embassies between our Regions. Region Name: NationStates Number of nations: 155 Off-site forums: http://bnationstates.runboard.com/ Founder: NationStates was created before the days of Founders receiving credit Region Head: Mikeswill http://www.nationstates.net/nation=mikeswill WA Delegate (6 years, 179 days) NationStates is Friends to All; Aligned with None The South Pacific has had a prolific History and the birth place of many of our Nations. As a Region from the initial days of existence, we feel a close connection with the feeder regions. To continue within the Future of the experience we feel it imperative that we continue to keep relations with The Pacifics NationStates arose out of the initial Raider ~ Defender Wars of 2003 with the entry of Mikeswill ~ Mikes Hope into the Region in November 2003. For the past 7 1/2 years we have been an alternative to the Raider ~ Defender positions by acting as a Neutral Region untited for our own Soveriegn growth. As such we practice a free soveriegn anarchy within the Region and welcome all visitors or permanent residences. |

I think that an off-site Embassy would be most appropriate and efficient in our communications. Mike |

The NationStates Region is proud to have been accepted as an Embassy Member of The South Pacific on both The South Pacific Forum and in The Jennifer Government play. During the past few weeks our Region has grown from 158 Nations to 205 Nations due to the efforts of recruitment. We are fornuate to attract Enlightened Nations into our Region, many of whom were born in The South Pacific. Mikeswill |

August Update: CONGRATULATIONS to The Republic of South Pacific Belschaft, The South Pacific freely elected WA DELEGATE!!! Since our last update the NationStates Region has increased it's membership by 37% from the 155 Nations on July 10th to the 212 at this posting. In that time we have surged as high as 222 Nations and our currently the 29th largest region in the Jennifer Government Land. Continued neutrality keeps our Delegate the longest serving delegate in the World at 6 years and 336 days as he is on the cusp of 17 Billion in population. Additionally, our Region continues to post WA Resolutions for regional purview resulting in greater opportunities for democratic decisions on regional votes. Still popular are the continued tao and music postings on the message board. |
