Hello, members of The South Pacific, and welcome to the South Pacific Annual Awards! Please join me in welcoming this year's winners of these prestigious awards. These award winners were selected by nominations from you, the members of the South Pacific, and, votes in categories where there were more than one nominee were selected by votes which were again open to all members of the South Pacific. So, without further ado, let me introduce the winners! We will begin our awards ceremony by awarding our winners in the category of "Visitors." Our award for Most Popular Visitor goes to Kangarawa, and our award for the Visitor with the Most to Say goes to Gnidrah! So, everyone, join me in congratulating these two fine visitors to our lovely region! Congratulations Kangarawa and Gnidrah! The theme for the next category for awards is that of "National Pride." The winner of the award for Most Interesting Nation Name is the (let me make sure I pronounce this correctly) Etnadnamocbus Socram! Congratulations, er, guy! For the award for Best National Flag, the nominees were Scary Toes and Pinkly Taurus (known here on the forums as J Delight). And the award goes to...... Pinkly Taurus (AKA J Delight)! Congratulations! The award for Best National Motto also had multiple nominees this year. This year's nominees for best national motto were Tsrill, for his motto "Aliens are humans, too!" and Suffraly, for the motto "If your hands aren't bleeding, you aren't working hard enough"! And the award goes to... (drum roll please)... Suffraly for "If your hands aren't bleeding, you aren't working hard enough"! Let's all congratulate Suffraly for this great award! The winner of this year's Most Valuable NationStates Player is well-known to all of us. This member has long been active in all aspects of the South Pacific, from government to Role-play, and is frequently visible on these boards as well as the Regional Message Board. Let's all give a great big hand to this year's winner for Most Valuable NationStates Player, Caer Rialis!!! Now, the next award category is for the "Regional Message Board." The first award in the category, for Best Spam had two very creative nominees. The first nominee was Blagulon Kappa, for this creative spam:
The next nominee was Pippi Thigh Highs, for this:
And the award goes to... Pippi Thigh Highs! Always remember folks, if you must Spam, at least entertain us! The next award is a bit different. We annually present the Delegate with this award in recognition of one of her less-pleasant but very valuable functions - that of ejecting unruly nations from our region. There were two recipients of this dubious distinction nominated for this category: Dryad and Marionetsvia. This year's award for Most Worthy Ejection goes to Madam Delegate Fudgetopia for her ejection of Marionetsvia! Please join me in thanking Madam Delegate for her continual hard work and dedication, which helps keep the South Pacific a great place to be! Thank you, Madam Delegate! The next category for our awards tonight is that of "Forum Antics." Uhh... did anyone see that, or was I dipping too much into the Scotch backstage? The award for Best Role Play had two very good nominees: Caer Rialis, for his "Black Sails" - a saga of oceangoing warfare in the South Pacific, and Brutland and Norden for the "South Pacific Beauty Pageant," wherein we got to see part of exactly what makes the South Pacific so great. And the award goes to Caer Rialis, for "Black Sails"! Congratulations again, Caer Rialis! And while we're on the subject of Role Play, let's give out our award for Best Role Play Character. This year's winner is Caer Rialis' sleuth "Tom McGuire"! Really stacking up the awards now, C.R.!! Now, let's talk about n00bs for a moment. We all love and welcome the newcomers to the South Pacific, but occasionally one comes along and makes their entrance in such a dramatic or flamboyant way that we all have to sit up and take notice. This year's nominees for Best Entrance for a n00b are TagTeamHK and Kickin Boots. And the award goes to Kickin Boots!! Congratulations Kickin Boots, and once again, Welcome to the South Pacific! The next category is a bit of a strange one, that of Best Hissy Fit. Oddly enough, the nomination for this year's winner came in an anonymous envelope which, when dusted for fingerprints, revealed nothing, and came without explanation. bearing that, and the old adage "don't shoot the messenger" :), in mind, I hereby announce that this year's winner for the award for Best Hissy Fit goes to Fudgepleasedon'tbanustopia!! Ahem. Our next award, for Best signature, had two very worthy nominees. Caer Rialis, for:
and Polkstreet, for:
Hrm. Clearly our judges favor Latin, and not of the pig variety. And the winner is... Caer Rialis! Caer Rialis will also receive this lovely wheelbarrow, to take all of his awards home with! The winner for this year's award for Best Avatar is Tsrill! Let's have a look here... ![]() Now we know why you have that motto, Tsrill! ![]() The winner of the award for Best All-Around Poster in the South Pacific is Mavenu!! Now, this year's Winner of Best Quote has some thanks to give out to their straight man, Tsrill. Here's the quote:
That's right, this year's winner is Fudgetopia!! Next, this year's winner of Best Joker of the Pack is Polkstreet! Congratulations, Polk! For the category of Calmness in the face of Adversity, the winner is Tsrill!! Just stay up here for a moment, Tsrill... because the winner of the award for Creative Genius - not "Genious" - is also Tsrill!! Congrats, Tsrill! The last award in this category is for The Best Idea, and the winner of this year's award was selected for his roleplay idea. The winner is Brutland and Norden!! Congratulations B&N! The final award category is for awards grouped by "Popularity." Some of the awards in this category are given to both a male and a female member. This year's awards for Most to Say (Male) goes to Htz3 and Most to say (female) goes to Fudgetopia!! This year's awards for Most Popular Nation (female) goes to Elizabiethian and Most Popular Nation (male) goes to Caer Rialis !! This year's winner for Most Popular with the Opposite Sex(male) is Papapatagonia and the winner for Most Popular with the Opposite Sex (female) is J Delight! Congratulations to Htz3, Fudgetopia, Elizabiethian, Caer Rialis, Papapatagonia and J Delight! But that's not all for this category! This year's nominees for the award for Individual Deemed Most Likely to Go On and Lead a Normal Life were Mavenu and Fudgetopia. And the winner is.... Mavenu! Congratulations, Mav! This year's nominees for Individual Deemed Most Likely to Reside in the SP Till the Day They Snuff it were Tsrill and Suffraly. And the award goes to... Tsrill! Congrats, Tsrill. We'll set you up with a burial plot with an ocean view! The nominees for the award for Individual Most Likely to Take Over the World were Geomania and Harkinnen. And this year's winner is.... Geomania! Congrats, future boss of us! And the final award in this category is for N00b of the Year. This year's winner is... Somniloquence! Congratulations, Somni, and Welcome to the South Pacific! That's it for this year's South Pacific Annual Awards. Thank you all for watching, and congratulations to all of this year's winners! That's it for me, Napieria, so good night everybody, and let's all keep the South Pacific in our hearts! |

And thanks for the wheelbarrow. I'll need to put up a few new shelves for the golden lampshades. Congrats to one and all for participating. If not for all of you, we'd not have a region at all! |
