In an attempt to better coordinate our RMB activities, It would be good if I knew who our Board Watchers are. there are no requirements to become a Board watcher, other than that you watch the RMB and post on it. The goal is to keep as little spam visible as possible, keep conversation fun and lively, and direct newcomers to our forum.

So, if you are one of our tireless Board Watchers (or wish to be), please post your name here.

If you don't mind, I can be of service. Hazaran is my TSP nation, for the record.

During the current and previous Delegacies in The North Pacific, The West Pacific and The Pacific, they have instituted a 15-line advertisement program that noticably reduces the amount of spam content in a recruitment letter, and allows the flow of conversation we as "natives" can have on our RMB.

Just a point of note...All those currently serving in Cabinet positions, by that virtue are obliged to act as a Board Watcher...

So on behalf of us all count us in...

I'll do what I can do...

Dalimbar, how is this 15-line rule enforced?

Btw, Lazarus strategy is mostly to ridicule the spammers. It helps to get the board reasonably spam free, and is an amusing past-time...

We've ridiculed spammers in the past. I endorse that policy. :thumb:

So a board watcher watches the message board to find spammers? And what do you do when you see spammers?

Tsrill - The enforcement of the 15 line policy is highly dependent on the Delegate. From past experience, what is needed is a team of watchers (exactly what you have here) to take shifts on watching the RMB to see if people do post more than 15 lines. Btw, the WFE needs to state that a 15 line limit is in place. If one of the Board Watchers does notice someone violating it, they send a warning to the nation in question, and place them on a list.

Should a nation be found violating the rule again, the Delegate should be notified and the violater will be banned from the region as soon as possible. The latest update the NS Mods implimented was allowing a 2-3 hour banject period. This means that if a recruiter comes in, posts a ad which violates the rules, then leaves, we have now 2-3 additional hours in which to put the said nation on the banned list. Obviously, the Delegate has her own life to deal with. However, I hope that our wonderful Delegate will, if this policy is agreed upon (somehow I doubt it will, but hey, just throwing it out there), be there to ensure that we have a clean RMB for once.

For the record - I do also support spam roasts!

If there is SPAM roasting going on then I will happily supply the Green Eggs...

Mmm...Green Eggs and SPAM...

What are your thoughts on moving this topic into the Assembly for a proper discussion the 15 line limit?..
