"My Life As A Poolboy" -- an autobiography

*A damp chill settles on TV as the reality settles in*

*Rising with a sigh, he wanders alone to the end of the hall
and gazes at the candlelit table sitting at the edge of the hidden grotto.*

"Go on home," he tells the band while extinguishing the tiki lamps. Darkness
settles uncomfortably on the gently lapping waves.

"Probably on her way a big party with a someone." Moving by touch, he
grabs the champagne bottle.

*catches TV as he is heading out, bottle of wine in hand*

"HEY, not so fast. I missed you so much, think we could light them candles back up and pop the cork on that champagne? Sorry I was gone for so long, IM wanted me to go to Vegas, but all I could think of was YOU!
I spent the whole time sippin' hot chocolate wishing I was back here in your arms!!!

Passed up Vegas with IM for me? I'd better make this good, then.

Whispers in Shay's ear, I couldn't wait to put my arms around you.

*lights a few candles, whose amber glow lights up Shay's face like an angel's, and pops the cork on the champagne*

There's salmon on the grill, the fruit should be chilled still, and JT put in a nice stereo system here, bless him. I even brought the banana boat around for a late night cruise.

Of course, if you do everything like you sang Peggy Lee, we may have a lot of fires around here to put out. I hope you like latin music.

I love latin music, I love everything about you.
*snuggles closer and softly sings*

You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever
In the mornin'
Fever all through the night

There's that fever again. You feel it?

A voice like a siren's song, and a face to match. Is there anthing you aren't
amazing at?

*the candles slowly burn out as the songs play and they dance across the sand*

A full moon tonight. How about a little drive in the banana boat, and waking up to
the sunrise together? I'm sure we could find something to do onboard...

*helps Shay climb on board, and starts the engine*

*As they pull away from shore, TV watches from the corner of his eye as the wind whips through Shay's beautiful long, red hair*

There's more champagne. Are you cold?

"Cold? Are you kidding me? Never anything but HOT when you are around! I think I will go below and put on the string bikini I brought and take a dip, care to join me?"

I don't think the bikini will fit me... let me throw the anchor.

Wow, "string" is a good word; you look fantastic, Shay. I think the ship is starting to smolder where you're standing. Any ideas what I'm going to wear, though?

*Returns a few minutes later dressed in ill fitting knee-length trunks.*

These will have to do. *eyes Shay carefully* You've got something planned; I look forward to... uncovering it. ;)

*Wanders in and looks around in puzzlement*

Hmmmmm ... I'd heard there was supposed to be a beach party getting started in here. No signs of any activity, so I guess it must have just been a rumour.

*Wanders off again, whistling Beach Boys stuff*

So which trapdoor did you investigate?
That pretty purple one over there? Posted Image
Naahhh .... that one just goes here Posted Image

No wonder you couldn't find the REAL party. See ... over there ... that section of floor in the deck extension.

*Ties a rope around the ring in the floor, threads it through the pulley wheel hanging from the rafters, and heaves the floor open*
As the 10-foot square section creaks open, a wooden staircase can be seen, reaching down to the sandy beach. Sounds of music and clinking glasses can be heard drifting up from below.
A huge poster adorns the underside of the trapdoor ...

OK now? See you down there ...
