*Waisting no time in attaining his dream, JT enlists all of Badger Construction's resources and puts them to work. There is much to be done and the Badgers are working hard to earn the many gourmet jam bonuses that have been built into their contract.

While some work on installing pilings.

Others are dredging silt to create the channels.

Dock construction moves along at a feverous pace.

*With the arsonists destruction of his beloved Zen in the Wind still fresh in his mind, JT has brought in several of Darryayah's crack Seal units to ensure that the Badgers as well as the entire project is safe.*

Actually, I am here to talk to you about booking one of your sail boats for a relaxing cruise for Shay and me.....but I am a novice at sailing....

What do you recommend? Could you help me plan out the perfect, relaxing vacation???

Oh, and do those seals really sell crack?

What do you recommend?  Could you help me plan out the perfect, relaxing vacation???

"I'd be happy to help you with that. I highly recommend a "Crewed Charter". You and Shay will have a captain and a chef aboard. They will take care of all the worries of running the boat. All you will have to do is enjoy. Our crews are experienced and very discrete. They will know when to leave you be and when to interact. If you wish to learn about sailing they will be happy to teach you. If not, just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride and all the wonderful anchorages you will visit."

"To set this up for you, we will need a preference list from you including:
Budget.
Length of Voyage.
Food preferences and dislikes including beverages.
Sail hard and fast or comfortable?
Water sport preferences such as SCUBA, snorkling, kayaks etc."

"Once we have this information, we will be able to set you up with an appropriate boat and crew."

Thanks for considering JT Yacht Charters for your vacation.

You have a fully stocked chandlery? And do you have chmatches to light the chandles as well?

Thanks for considering JT Yacht Charters for your vacation.

We would like a relaxing trip, somewhere warm, with stops at secluded private beaches and stops at oceanside villages with nice clubs for dancing and enjoying local culture.

I am hoping that Shay will be able to get away for at least a week, but would like to leave the return date open ended based on our specific desires at the time.

Budget is not a problem....your standard rate, plus of course a good tip for the crew and yourself if everything is satisfactory.....

Food....an assortment, with chocolate being the center of the desert menu....also some nice wine to be coordinated with the meals.....I don't think that you will find us to be too picky about much.....

Sports and activities..again, we are not too picky, though I would like to experience parasailing if that is possible.

Basically, I trust you to set up the perfect plan and leave us with nothing to do but relax and enjoy.

Here is my credit card......feel free to go ahead and take the deposit and just start a tab.....(unlike Tsrill's card, I do have Credit Protector on mine, so don't anybody get any ideas :lol2: )

Hello Jack (ha, thought I was gunna say Hi Jack didn't you?)
"Thought we would look around a bit before we attend the election party this evening, nice place you have here! Isn't this nice James? Oh, how cute, James look at the little badger sailor outfits, I must have one for Erica!

I sure hope you have stocked the Yacht Club bar and called in all the cooks, just incase of a big SP turn out. This could well last into the weekend. Did you know some SP parties have been never ending?"

Well, you pose quite a challenge to me Liarq. These trips are much easier to plan when people have likes and dislikes. However, I want to give this matter my personal attention so give me a couple of days to put something together for you. It will be my top priority once the post election bash is concluded.

Greetings Sir Jack of Tarr, err Jack..sorry I seem to do that a great deal actually. I'm Matthias from down the street at the Knowledge Compendium. Good to see a fine place like this opening up over here.

I'm sure I will be coming by periodically to partake of your Pound of Lobster and cash bar. Today I'm just here to say hello, and to invite you to stop by the reading room, I have plenty of old seafarers tales..including a rare copy of Magellan's diary, and the charter for Christopher Columbus's 3 ships with which he first sailed to America.

See you soon!

Ok Liarq, here is what I've come up with for you.

The boat is The Dervish. She is a 53' Ted Hood design which you will find very comfortable and a well mannered sailor as well. Her joiner work is impeccable!

Your cabin is pictured here:

Your crew are Charles and Leslie.

Charles' early interest in cooking and the opportunity to apprentice to an excellent continental chef set into motion a lifelong love of cooking and cuisine. Charles has worked as chef for hotels operated by Fairmont, Dunphy and Sky Chef International and has owned a successful catering business. He taught culinary arts at the university level and for a variety of gourmet societies as well as served on the board of directors of the American Culinary Federation. A gypsy at heart, Charles was educated in Texas and received a degree in comparative philosophy. Taking early retirement from an administrative position at the University of Oklahoma allowed the pursuit of a dream to live and sail in the Caribbean. Charles holds a US Coast Guard 50 ton Masters' License.

The operation and management of Dervish, as well as some of the cooking, is shared by Leslie Howe. Leslie's first home is central Oklahoma where she was born and received a degree in business administration. Before heading to the Caribbean with Charles, she worked for an international lettering arts magazine. There she enjoyed the close personal interaction with artists and literary contributors from around the world. She loves animals, nature and the sea and would be delighted to share what she has learned about the wildlife of the Caribbean.

A typical day for you will go something like this:

Not every cruise is the same, each is its own special experience, but on a typical day you'll enjoy both exhilaration under sail and relaxation at anchor. There is no set schedule, you can go anywhere you like, and you'll spend many of your days exploring ashore. You plan your own schedule, and you decide just how to spend your time at anchor.
Take the expert advice of your captain and crew, and allow them to arrange a beach barbeque, waterfall picnic, mountain hike, or sightseeing tour. Or have them plan a golf outing for you, then point you in the direction of sophisticated boutiques.
If you anchor off an uninhabited island, you may want to comb the beaches for nature's treasures, or use the ship's sports gear to snorkel, water ski, wind surf, or scuba dive. Hike through the jungle to the base of a waterfall and enjoy a picnic feast of goodies prepared for you by your chef. When anchored off one of the islands' bustling towns, take the time to wander the beautiful gardens, colorful markets, and interesting boutiques. Take a taxi tour or wander quaint fishing villages on foot and meet the island people. Don't forget to make that stop at a local pub for a refreshing rum punch.

Morning
After a breakfast of your choosing, the crew will raise the anchor. You are welcome to take the helm. Or, if you prefer, take the suntan lotion to the deck. You're off on a fabulous adventure. You'll cruise for 3-4 hours in the lee of the islands, over blue waters that are flat and calm.

Mid-morning
A delicious snack is served as you embark upon a 3-4 hour island passage. And in the lee of the islands, the waters are flat and calm.

Luncheon
Take a swim in the unbelievably clear, silky water. Indulge in French wines and cheeses, fresh fruits, tasty casseroles, and cool salads. Relax in the covered cockpit. Close your eyes and enjoy the sea breezes.

Mid-afternoon
Refreshing tea and cakes are served on board as you relax after a day of exciting shore excursions.

Sunset Hour
The golden, fading light reflects in the crystal sea as you enjoy rum punches and hors d'oeuvres on deck.

Dinner
Soft music dances in the air and candlelight plays off the walls as you enjoy a feast of seafood and local specialties below deck.

After Dinner Coffee
Relax on deck and just try to count the stars. Enjoy coffee by moonlight as the captain tells of the adventures that await you tomorrow. Or, perhaps you dance the evening away, barefoot in the sand, at a local pub or sophisticated disco.

Bedtime
Your stewardess has turned down your bed, and you slip between cool sheets, relaxed, happy, and carefree. As the gentle waves caress the yacht, the last stars twinkle and you sleep, refreshed and relaxed, dreaming of the next day's adventures.

I hope this is to your and Shay's liking.

There is one small matter that I need you to address. Your credit card would not authorize. Is there a different card you want me to use or would you rather contact your bank? Please let me know when things are squared away and I will get this trip finalized for you.

Thanks

This all sounds wonderful Jack.....I knew I could count on you. Takes the card back from Jack *this seems to happen to a lot of people lately, since that wild credit card fraud from last week...give me a minute*-goes out to his vehicle, and returns through the back door with two canvas bags. This should take care of everything....more than enough, I would think. Since my nation has a 100 percent tax rate, we have plenty of spare cash lying around.....One bag is stuffed with fudgetopian fudgers, neatly stacked and banded. The other contains Liargian newtons, and a one pound block of Fudgetopian chocolate.....

Will this do? The IRS really has a hard time tracking stuff this way..... :none:

"That will do fine <grin>"

*Takes fudgers and newtons and places them in a basket marked "Laundry" and wheels it into his safe. Takes a small nibble of the chocolate to check its authenticity.*

"Fantastic, that should last me through the weekend unless I get lucky and find a date to share it with" ;)

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh one other thing. It seems Charles has come down with a rare illness of some sort so Leslie will be doing all the cooking. (I assure you you won't be disappointed.) I could not find a replacement skipper on such short notice so I will be running the boat myself.

I'll see you two on Monday evening. Just tell the seal at the gate who you are and he will see to it that your gear is brought aboard. We will be tied up at the end of "B" Dock. I suggest you bring appropriate clothing so you can go ashore and sightsee and play. While aboard, you can wear as much or as little as you wish."

Your reputation as a world class seaman proceeds you, and I cannot think of anyone I would rather have as our captain. I will have a truck come round some time during the weekend with our things if that is ok.....We will plan to shove off shortly after the party.

Careful with that chocolate....it is as pure as it comes..... ;)

Thanks again!

ummmmmmmmmm errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr truck full of things? Please keep in mind this isn't the Queen Mary and stowage is quite limited. Bathing suits, and a few casual things for ashore is all you need and not to worry, there is a washer and dryer aboard.
