Welcome to the SP, folks from Galt's Gulch. I'd like to ask, exactly what does the Capitalist Economic Alliance do within the NS world? |

The Capitalist Economic Organization is a loose alliance of Capitalist regions that defend eachother if necessary and try to also work together on proposals and resolutions to sway the obviously liberal UN. The new CEO forum is http://s3.invisionfree.com/CEO/index.php We are currently working on the CEO constitution. Also CEO liberated The Exclusive Capitalizt Zone after it was invaded by the RKKA. CEO protects all capitalist regions to keep our kind strong against the swarming horde of socialists that is NationStates. |

Greetings nations of The South Pacific, I'm Leg-ends, the newly elected representative for inter-regional affairs for Galts Gulch. If you wish to discuss any matters regarding Galts Gulch you can now contact either myself or our delegate ACC directly by telegram. Alternatively you post on this thread which, hopefully, I will be checking quite often and updating with the latest news from our region. I hope our two regions can enjoy a long, positive relationship. Regards, Leg-ends |

I'm delighted to announce that I have appointed Shasarazade as ambassador to your region. They will be able to devote more time than I and will thus be to give you the attention that you deserve. I'll still check in occasionally but this will be very much their area. We wish them all the best on their new assignment. |

Wheeew, this past week has been a busy one for Galt's Gulch. Lots of updates. Assembly elections are now over. Congrats go out to Vox Augusti, Pandarens, Jasque, Leg-ends, and -Ayn Rand-. They will be inaugurated on April 11th. We have also selected a new regional motto, Libertas Demerere Salarium. Anyone who knows what that means wins a Hero Cookie. ![]() In their final act, the current Galt's Gulch Assembly has ratified our Constitution, which can be viewed here. Exciting news from our recruiters, as well. Lately, Galt's Gulch has been gradually shrinking, but thanks to the tremendous efforts our recruiters, particularly Doronoria, Leg-ends, and Disciplez of Rand, we've managed to give our regional population a 60-nation boost in just three days, bringing us from the pits of 290 back over the 300 mark to 350 nations. Galt's Gulch has been helping with elections in the North Atlantic, which has been undergoing some turmoil as of late. The elections were running smoothly, until a new delegate took power. The elections have been put on hold until that situation is smoothed out. A couple nights ago, Galt's Gulch was involved in another clash with The Young World, in which every one of the six warzones was invaded by both sides. In the end, both regions were successful in their respective defenses, and no warzones changed hands. Galt's Gulch still holds more warzones than any other region. And that looks to be it. Thank you for your time, and may friendship continue to thrive between our honorable regions! Most respectfully, -Cmdr. Shasarazade Galt's Gulch Ambassador to The South Pacific |

Personally, I don't have a whole lot of first-hand information on events concerning TNA. I know that they had some trouble with their previous delegate, Taxachussetts, and we're working as a mediator in their elections, which will either prove or disprove said delegate's legitimacy. As of right now, though, the delegate seems to be Armaggh, who, if rightfully elected to the delegacy, proposes to give Taxachussetts the boot and allow the region's exiles to return. For more information, consider visiting the North Atlantic Election HQ. To answer your question, though, I'm not quite sure on HOW we got involved there. All I know is that we are indeed involved. I will ask Secretary Leg-Ends on your behalf. Reverently yours, -Cmdr. Shasarazade Galt's Gulch Ambassador to The South Pacific |

Okay! According to Secretary Leg-Ends, our delegate, the Anti-Commi Clan, was contacted by Taxachussetts after the previous arbiter (The Proletariat Coalition) made what Taxachussetts deemed unmeetable demands for the elections. I hope this answers your question. With a bow, -Cmdr. Shasarazade Galt's Gulch Ambassador to The South Pacific |

Sorry I took so long to respond, I wasn't able to reply for some reason so I had to have your gracious admin fix it. Anyway, basically Tax sent me a TM for some reason although I still don't know why he chose me. So I checked out the situation he described and after talking it over with Blackbird who was also involved at the time, I decided to see what I could do to remedy the situation. So I started elections sanctioned by their delegate and the nation Armaggh one them, but there was some controversy over his victory and he basically ejected myself and his opponents. About a week later I believe he griefed the region and now it is open again with a founder that leaves delegate controls on. So the issue got solved, although in a very odd way, and GG is no longer involved. |

In an eventful up-and-down week GG pulls out about even. The week started off well when GG and CEO defended the CEO member region, USA. At about eight PM PST it came to CEO's attention that USA was being invaded. Troops were immediately dispatched to endorse the current delegate. The CEO troops were easily enough to have the invading force beat by over five endorsements. However, GG and CEO were not the only people defending USA. Defenders from both Pacific Defenders and TITO (Thousand Islands Treaty Organization) had also come in prior to CEO's arrival. In the end, CEO was able to handle the situation by themselves, and at CEO's request (because CEO felt the situation should be dealt with by CEO) the other defenders graciously went off to other more pertinent defensive matters. CEO then proceeded to wait until the delegate came back on and ejected the invaders. This happened the next day and everything is now back to normal. This was the second defense related affair CEO has been involved with, the first being the liberation of The Exclusive Capitalist Zone. However, just last night a daring raid by The YoungWorld and The Pacific caught GG's military forces offgaurd. The first warzone to fall to their attacks was Warzone Australia, which changed hands at approximately eleven o'clock PST. About an hour and a half later, TYW and The Pacific were also able to take Warzone Europe. This has been the most devastating set back for GG yet in the warzones, leaving us with only one warzone under our control. It is expected that their will be many military adjustments to account for the sudden decline in military effectiveness. Gulchian leaders, however, remain confident that the military can bounce back quickly and will strike out and take some of TYW's warzones, which have caused their troops to be overextended. On other news, the Capitalist Summit is progressing quickly, drafts of founding documents and names for the alliance are currently under discussion. Lastly, after a pretty major drop off in nations GG reached a several month low of 274, but has quickly rebounded up to 315. |

An exciting night of activity leaves Galt's Gulch with victory in Warzone Europe. Our forces caught wind that The Young World and the Pacific were doing some reorganizing in the warzone, and we managed to slip in before the deed was done and steal the delegacy right out from under their noses. The new delegate there is Vox Augusti, GG's Minister of the Interior. Galt's Gulch now controls two warzones. Thanks go out to all members of the Galt's Gulch military and to the Pacific and The Young World for offering such invigorating competition. Makes the game just that much more fun. ![]() Thank you, and good night, -Capt. Shasarazade Gulchian Ambassador to The South Pacific Professor of Arse-Kickery, University of John Galt |
