As you enter the Bakery Shop, a small set of sleigh bells jungle, the pleasurable aroma of freshly baked goods surrounds you. The shop area has baker racks of fresh baked goods and a shelf or two of Cook books, a counter with a cash register, a “Pillsbury Dough Boy” shaped Clerk Call Bell, and a sign listing freshly baked offerings. Through the partially closed curtains you look into a private backroom where the baking equipment and supplies are kept, this is where Kein Aber works. You hear him singing in the background. Everything is immaculate, orderly, and clean. Kein Aber enters the shop through the curtains, to stand behind the counter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “I Thought I heard the bells, *smiles* Willkommen Kein Abers zum Rucksack sorry, Welcome to Kein Aber’s Knapsack, all my baked goods and pastries are freshly made. If you would like the recipes for any of my goods please ask, I will send it along with you via PM.” “How may I serve you today”? |

Was geschehen ist! Eine Abweichung hat das Geschäft verdorben! Er nicht stellen Sie fest, daß der Witz wirklich auf ihm ist! April Dummköpfe! A man dressed as an evil clown has just tricked all of us. April Fools day is a day of unusal events, as I now see. My dear customers in anticipation of such an event I had replaced the display goods and pastries with those which evaporate once they are handled. As you see the mess is disappearing. A shop owner must always be aware of special days and events, and plan for them. LOL Kein Aber enters the shop through the curtains, to stand behind the counter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “I Thought I heard the bells, *smiles* Willkommen Kein Abers zum Rucksack sorry, Welcome to Kein Aber’s Knapsack, all my baked goods and pastries are freshly made. ALRIGHTY THEN! I guess then I can read to you for awhile Eleven On Top My name is Stephanie Plum. When I was eighteen I got a job working a hotdog stand on the boardwalk on the Jersey shore. I worked the last shift at Dave's Dogs, and I was supposed to start shutting down a half hour before closing so I could clean up for the day crew. We did chilli dogs, cheese dogs, kraut dogs and bean topped barking dogs. We grilled them on a big grill with rotating rods. Round and round the rods went all day long, turning the dogs. Dave Loogie owned the dog stand and came by every night to lock the stand down. He checked the garbage to make sure nothing good was thrown away, and he counted the dogs that were left on the grill. "You gotta plan ahead," Dave told me every night. "You got more than five dogs left on the grill when we close, I'm gonna fire your ass and hire someone with bigger tits." So every night, fifteen minutes before closing, before Dave showed up, I ate hotdogs. Not a good way to go when you're working at the shore nights and on the beach in a skimpy bathing suit by day. One night I ate fourteen hotdogs. Okay, maybe it was only nine, but it felt like fourteen. Anyway, it was too many hotdogs. Well hell, I needed the job. |

*Wanders over, smiling a smile that grows broader at seeing Shay* <step hop step hop...> *sits down next to her* Mind if I join you for a while? I'd have to say that I've missed you, like having a duckie without a squeak. Whispers, "You know how this is: if I look at the crystal moon, at the red branch of the slow autumn at my window, if I touch near the fire the impalpable ash or the wrinkled body of the log, everything carries me to you, as if everything that exists: aromas, light, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me." |

*shares my banana ice cream with Tiny Villages* (and you all know I don't share banana's with just anyone on the street) "Wonder if Kein Aber will ever be back, I am having withdrawls!!! Going so long without one of his wonderfully delicious Chocolate Pudding Cakes is a slow death for me! PapaC you wouldn't happen to have that badger cell phone handy would you? Maybe we could give KA a call and see what the hold up is? Maybe a madd dash of squaking yellow duckies are holding him hostage at the airport!" |
