Yes, I got stuck in gray world for awhile, but that is very YOU of what I know of you. I loved your own commentary, too. |

Dahn steps into the back area Ah, very good. I've often thought this was a great addition to the area though I don't have anything to offer myself. |

Come on in, friend. We were just talking about having a grand reopening show and reception. Even if you don't have anything to contribute, perhaps you know of someone who does? Art needs artists and audience to be complete, me thinks. |

*Looks around at all the pretty art* Very nice, I like it here. Even if my stuff isn't quite like what you've got already, I'll share if you like. Thanks for the invite, Jammer! This is my avatar, a piece that AntiD says looks like the monk from D&D... Everyone else says she looks like a black Angelina Jolie. I'll let you decide. |

Ok, few minutes have gone by, this is what I have loaded into the computer that isn't crap: A little something I did my first year of college... I did this in high school for a class. Check out the boxes. Every box has a letter, and there is something in the box that starts with that letter. Some of it I had trouble with, so I just used Tengwar letters instead of an actual thing or person. See if you can find them... Honestly, I just wanted to draw a nice elf ear. The week I drew this, I'd been seeing a lot of half-assed elf ears. So I drew a nice elf ear and half-assed the rest ![]() I'll put more up, maybe some poetry and fiction, too, later! And if y'all need help with that opening that you were talking about, I'll pitch in if you need me at all!

Since I haven't seen any poetry up here yet, I'll post one of the first poems I wrote for poetry 340 this year... Shopping I look at Guys like I look at Cars Clean cut? Good build? Nice rear? Give me an engine that purrs And a body that makes me stare And I’m sold. But your Parents don’t want you to go for the hotrods: “Don’t you want something a little safer?” “You don’t want to go too fast…” “Sure, it’s pretty, but the insurance is gonna be hell.” Yeah, I know. The sad thing is You don’t know shit about the engine while you’re looking at the trunk. But I’ve got my license Just give me a test drive I can figure out if he’s a smooth ride For Myself. I don't know people thought it was funny

I think it's *particularly* funny, esp since I was asked to test drive a very nice looking sportscar for a friend one time. |

Heavy How strange these dreams that come to haunt me each night So akin to something familiar Although I do admit Sliced Cthulhu on a plate is not something one normally sees But 'tis not the imagery which moves me Compells me toward the dark recesses of my mind that normally I dare not explore But 'tis something else Something deeper A whisper floating upon the gentle breeze of my subconscious Telling me that there's something there Something I've known before In another time Another life A dim shadow reflection of someone who may be me Or You Or the foolish children we were once upon a hot New Orleans night Me smoking a clove in the lamplight Whilst you chastised me for yelling SEX at the drunkards And we laughed and haggled over the price of chicken fingers And stole extra honey mustard dressing for our 3am feast And never realized that 6 months later We would say good luck Not intending it to mean goodbye And we would never see each other again And so now, on the brink eve of forever I remember thee And I try desperately to quell the "What if" Because there is no going back now |

Whoa, your images are really cool, Zepowa, you do have quite some talent ![]() Slacker, I like how your poem subtly changes from dream to past. Maybe it would be even better if you could link it back to the dream at the end...I'm not such a poetry person, though. -Tsrill |

That actually was in a dream I had 2 nights ago. I was in come sort of intergalactic deli, and they had sliced Cthulhu and pate of Nyarlathotep. It was mildly amusing. |

Thanks, Tsrill! It's fun, if anything ![]() Dick, that photo is the awesome! I love it! Slack, you really had a dream like that? Sweet! I had a dream where junior high kids were slaves in a giant cookie factory, and one of the kids started beating up the guards with his newly-discovered Jedi powers. Then the second-in-command of the operation (a melding of my junior high principal and vice-principal, ironically enough...) caught the kid and sent him to the first-in-command...Darth Vader. I knew Mr. Campbell and Mr. Lopez were working for evil... |

< wakes up from bored and drunken stupor Holy Crap!! People!! Welcome all, tis been a while awesome works you got there, High Priestess. I'll see if I can post some of my charcoals later. Oh, careful with the poetry, I was accused of trying to start a creative monopoly when I built the stage. So as long as no one complains feel free to post more. |
