i think so. i think the language spoken in the rural areas of the us is supposed to be reasonably pure uk english from the 19th century.

I've lived on the Indiana/Kentucky border all my life, and my Mom's family is from Kentucky. I guess that's where I get "y'all..."

And if y'all expected something Yankee from me, you don't know me to well.

Love the way all the Midwesterners scored into the "yankee" category - but barely!
Seems they only left room for the North-South thing rather than the East to Midwest to West orientation. Of course, it had ties to Harvard, so....extrapolate that. :P

Okay, this thing is psycho! First time, it said I was 48% (Yankee). I hit the submit button again, didn't go back and change anything--52%, Dixie. Hit it a few more times, got all teh way up to 100%!

Where's that rolling laughing icon tull is always using? I need it!
