oh I make promises, but if I get stabbed in the back, I will be the first one to make life a living row up the river styx for them :D

I keep my promises too, after all what does a person have if not their honor.

Vientu

I was wondering if there were any jobs around here see i had to leave the country i previously lived in so i kinda lost my job and a funeral directors seems to be a fun place to work.

I'm good at manual labour and my people skills are good so long as they're nice people.

so have you got any vacancies?

A fun place to work? Well, we certainly try to make it so, although obviously clients expect a certain gravity.

Actually my partner and I have been starting to consider expanding the business, so it may be that we will have some work for you. Perhaps in the meantime you should have a look round and see if you like it. We're having a party at the moment, but I think that we can spare one of the staff to show you round.

it seems quite nice so far obviously you have to be sombre at times but it's surely fun too.
Fidei what's it like working here?

Well of course

Vientu, if you'd like to step this way we can begin...

*Takes Vientu by the hand and leads her out of the party room.*

"Want a brownie?" *says Fidei, grabbing a tray nearby* "I made them, so you KNOW they're the greatest."

What's it like? um... Have you got good health insurance?

It's been fun so far, and the pay's good. Ask Christie, she sees more of the in-office action that me.

Fidei um where are we going and why are the stairs so strange?

So far, it is a great place to work. The proprietors are a little formal, and you certainly do not want to cross them or try to get anything over on them. However, if you are honest and loyal, you could not have better employers. This place is a little strange and takes some getting used to, but you can learn to use its eccentricities to your advantage. My best advice, is to be prepared not to be surprised by anything that you see, or that you are able to do. The possibilities seem limitless.....

Don't ask me, this whole building's wierd, in a brilliant way though. It's not so much that we work in here, or that christie lives here, but that the building's just doing us a favour. It could kick us out at any time, but for now it's just being hospitable, and it's idea of hospitable is to literally fit our wants and needs.

Oh, I guess those paintings kind of add to the atmosphere

*Points to frames containing pictures of various subjects, ranging from pineapples and pumpkins to pensive pirates.*

Ok, this is the shop floor.

*Throws open the curtains in an attempt to let some light in. The attempt fails so she flicks a switch and a dim, sombre lighting system flickers on*

Over there to the right we have the urns, the bigger the plinth, the higher the price. Obviously we encourage people to spend as much as possible when sending their beloved off to the next world, although we are contemplating introducing some special offers, I think that'll be discussed at the next staff meeting.

To the left we have the caskets or coffins, if you will. Now we do get the occasional squatter, but I can turf them out without much difficulty if you give me a bell, although things have been known to get a bit hairy.
*looks at the perfectly healed hands that had once been shredded to ribbons by fragments of glass*
I wouldn't worry about that though, 'twas a rare occurence...

Just in front of you we have the sales desk with till of course, but someone else will have to show you that one, not my field I'm afraid.

Ok, you taking this in so far? Fell free to ask questions
