I don't know whats up with this, but this is the third one that I have pulled out of the vace by the door......places the coin on Mr. Grimm's desk...

You called sir?

I think our post-SPAA ceremony party needs to be declared officially over. Please can you clear up the hospitality suite, and make sure that any guests still lingering are escorted home......... or, at least, somewhere else. Also, it came to my attention that someone entered your part of the premises other than through the central corridor - please advise them not to do so again. Due to the party some of our security measures were disabled, but normally attempted break-in could result in very unfortunate consequences.

Aaaw, he took the last red gummi...

Anyway, as I'm here, anything I can do? Make some tea maybe?

I think vientu's fallen asleep in the barn, I'll go poke her later, but she looks like she needs a rest right now so I'll finish the tour later.

Oh yes, I had to clean around vientu, but they're spick and span and other alliterative phrases.

Milk? sugar? cinnamon?

I'm told there's someone down the way selling gummi bear milkshakes with a shot of rum - that sounds interesting. Get something for yourself as well, and then there's something I'd like to talk to you about.

I will certainly take care of these assignments sir...right away. And about my visitors earlier...I cannot say how PapaC got into my apartment...I was relaxing in the Hot tub and he just appeared...I was half asleep when he showed up. I did not know him well, so I invited Tool a Hoo and Kloister just to be safe......and I believe that they entered appropriately.

Did you find the other two silver pieces I left on your desk?

* a chinking sound comes from the direction of the door *

Yes, thanks. Before you set to the clearing up, since you're both here, I wanted to follow up on the staff meeting we abandoned. Have either of you had any ideas for expanding the business?

Expansion? hmmm, that depends on what sort of...business you want to be running...
Private I' springs to mind, or a hit man if you'd prefer.
Have we discussed special offers? 2 bereavements for the price of one? ekonomy koffins?
As Aurellis has demonstrated, even accomodation can be accomodated, how popular it would be is another matter entirely.

Yea, its not like we can make people die......(can we?)

Maybe some sort of counseling services.....I think the dancing pandas could stand some more work....they are animals!!!

What, train them to counsel instead of taunt?
It's an idea...

Or d'you just mean train them to taunt more so we have more customers?
CAN they be trained???
CAN we make people die???
CAN we dress up like Sherlock Holmes and run around shouting "a-yellow-manta-ray" and other childish John Cleese references???
Ug, too much thinking today...

* Josiah Grimm peers at Fidei with a concerned look *

No more gummi bears for you, I think.

I like the Private Investigator idea. As far as the range of services we might offer, I think we should start with background checks, missing persons, etc.

And I like the idea of a counselling service, but perhaps we should keep pandas and badgers out of it for the time being.

So are you both willing to help with both ideas?

Absolutely sir. I am all over the "private eye" stuff, but don't know how well I would do at counseling...I need a shrink myself about half the time.....

*cough* yeah, it was the gummis...

Oh, before I forget, Jammer gave me this to give to you *Hands Mr Grimm a tiny gold key with the G&R motif carved into the delicate stem*
I'm afraid I don't quite know what it's for, maybe you'll understand...

Sure, I'll help, but I don't think I've lived enough to counsel...

* Josiah Grimm leans back in his chair and smiles *

Wisdom does not necessarily come from living, young Fidei. However, since you both seem keener on the PI business, why don't we just go with that for now.

Fidei, perhaps you can go round the businesses in the Market Street and ask if you can leave these flyers.

Christie, you can run along and do the clearing up now. If you finish quickly you can help Fidei.

* Josiah Grimm takes the key and places it on his desk. He then reaches into his desk drawers and pulls out a sheaf of paper *

When you've got a minute, I have something for you from the DZ. Seems that big foot locker has some mighty interesting stuff, and not just that key. Catch up with me in the Market. Someone's coming...

Finishes cleaning and returning GR and A to its former, more formal state. In the course of checking out the results of her cleaning, she passes the vase on the front table twice, both times removing a single silver piece from it.

Upon completion of her duties, she returns to Mr. Grimm's office, which now stands open but unoccupied. she walks across the carpet and places the two coins in the center of his large, clean desk and returns to the front.

Wonder if they need anything else right now?, she thinks.....

Erm, only a day or two I think...
Well, you've seen the Hospitality suite, the stables, the shop floor, the stair case, The chapel is just through that door there *points,* I don't go in there much, doesn't feel quite...right being in there. Maybe it just doesn't like me.
If you carry on up the stairs you should find the conference room, Christie's chambers and Mr Grimm and Mr Reiper's offices, as well as some...other rooms. But their use seems to change every time I walk past....
That is a whistle stop tour, but if you ever get lost, just give me a call.
You may want to talk to the Sirs about your position, and whether it will be finalised.

* A distinguished-seeming gentleman Vientu now clearly recognises as Josiah Grimm appears as if from nowhere *

Certainly, let's go to my office.

* Josiah leads Vientu upstairs to his office and invites her to sit *

Well, I hope Fidei has shown you round and answered any questions you might have. We've just decided to expand, so I see no problem with taking on another member of staff. Will you require accommodation? Or do you have your own place like Fidei?
