Episodes 24-27 Kamen Rider Blade is an awesome series. I liked the Undead Hunters. They were a nice twist. Reminded me of the Silver Guardians from Time Force. The irony here was having one of its members secretly be the Wolf Undead. I enjoyed Kenzaki and Tachibana trying to help the Undead Hunters to finish production on the Black Fang prototype. They showed genuine excitement in having humans help them in their battle against the Undead. Boy were they surprised. I had a feeling that the Wolf Undead might be one of them though, since he was the only high level Undead that we weren't aware of his human form. So, all of the characters have interesting development, especially Mutsuki who is being controlled by the Spider Undead again. The Tarantula Undead might be the only one that can stop him. I wonder if the Cheif knows his collegue is an Undead. It was good to see that they are still working on sealing the Undead. Kamen Rider Blade - Jack Form was awesome. But it's odd how Kenzaki all of the sudden knows what cards to use, and it seemed a little too coincidental. Also as Mutsuki pointed out that Tachibana might be jellous, but he doesn't have any both cards to use. Oh well. It looks like Mutsuki might seal his first high level Undead soon, but he'll have to supress the evil of the Spider Undead first. |

Episodes 28-32 Kamen Rider Blade is really getting good. Mutsuki's character intrigues me. It was interesting how he faught against the Teranchula Undead, and the Undead sacrificed himself for Mutsuki to regain control, and we all thought that was the solution to Mutsuki's problems, right? But instead Mutsuki is even more in darkness now. I really like his new look and attitude. I also thought it was cool when he went psycho on the cops as Leangle. The story of Hajime finding an exact duplicate was hillarious. I was laughing so hard at everyone's reactions to Ryou trying to take over Hajime's life. Although, I have to say, episodes 29 and 30 had some of the weirdest moments I've seen in Kamen Rider so far. Are all weddings like that in Japan? I think I remember something more traditional in pictures of Gaoranger. Anyway, what was really weird was how the two familys were going psycho over making that dish. And I was slightly bothered when Ryou was pulling at Kenzaki's leg when he was Blade, and he couldn't move. You'd think a Kamen Rider wouldn't have any struggle from a simple human. The actor they have playing Hajime is a great actor though. To be able to play such different characters is amazing. They're like two different people. I also thought it was really funny when Ryou charged the Serpent Undead in that goofy Turbo get-up. I think it's best that Kamen Rider doesn't veer too much in this direction though. Also, we learn a lot of information about Hajime (Kamen Rider Chalice), who is the Joker, and the cards theme really plays off well in the story. The Trial D also adds some mystery to everything as well. The Causcasus Beetle Undead is interesting, and he's pushing Hajime to his limits. No doubt we'll see the Joker's true form soon. Also, we got to see Tachibana become Kamen Rider Garren Jack Form, with the help of Chalice. But it looks as if he and Kenzaki are squaring off now. Jack From vs Jack Form. I really like Kenzaki's motivation as a Kamen Rider. I've seen that a lot of people don't like Blade, and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the card theme, which I've heard a lot of complaints about. I actually like it though. The Undead actually interest me, while there were a lot of random Orphenochs which just served the purpose of invoking a battle. I also love the new opening. It's a lot better than the previous one. I think it better represents the show. |
