TV-Nihon has subbed Kamen Rider Blade - Episode 1 and put it up on their Bit Torrent. Enjoy the episode, and discuss it here. Expect my review in a bit. http://bt.base0.net/tv-n/ |

Episode 1 Well this series is very different from Faiz. It definitely starts off a lot differently as well. Instead of starting off with jaded characters that would someday become heroes, this show starts off with two Riders already with their powers. The Kamen Riders work for the BOARD, a top secret organization. When a more seasoned fighter Kamen Rider Garren gets himself in over his head with one of the Undead, a two months into the game rookie, Kamen Rider Blade is sent into the battle. Together the two Riders defeat the Undead and seal it inside of a card. After Tachibana (Garren) leaves, Kenzaki (Blade) is confronted by someone who was attacked by the Undead. He is so happy to meet a Kamen Rider and he thinks it would be a great newstory, but Kenzaki is scared off quickly. Meanwhile, back at the BOARD, Tachibana confronts the head of the BOARD about their methods. They seem to be studying the Undead, but what business do they have with them? What business do they have with Kamen Riders? Tachibana confronts Kenzaki on why he became a Kamen Rider, and Kenzaki assures him because he wants to save the world, but Tachi thinks the innocence routine won't help him. After two months of training, Kenzaki returns to his apartment to find that he has been evicted by the old witchy landlord. He finds himself stuck with nowhere to stay, but not for long. The man's life he saved before Kotarou offers him to a place to stay, but seems to be very difficult to live with. It is a house that his parents left him. Using the house to write reports on riders, he tries to support his older sister Haruka, a widow, and her daughter Amane. He somewhat dislikes his older sister's boarder, Aikawa, but only because he gets a bad vibe from the man's lonely way. But it seems as though Aikawa has a secret as well, he finds himself to be transforming into a Kamen Rider. Now Kenzaki has nightmares about his parents' death, when he was 11, they were burned to death in a fire. When Kenzaki awakes, he is summoned by someone from the BOARD. They are under attack by the Undead. When Kenzaki gets there, the girl there tells him that Tachibana is controlling the Undead, but he refuses to believe his partner would ever be a traiter. When he rushes outside, he henshins into Kamen Rider Blade. A totally awesome transformation I might add. Kind of reminds me of PRLR morphing sequence. But while Kamen Rider Blade is fighting the Undead and the BOARD is being torn apart, Kamen Rider Garren is just watching. Blade screams out in agony for Tachibana's help, refusing to believe that he could be a traiter. To be continued... Overall, a very interesting first episode. It's going to take me a while to get to know the characters and get used to them, but I like it so far. It's not as good as Faiz, but it's only been one episode. The events in this episode seemed to move along rather quickly. Kenzaki is more energetic than Takumi, but Aikawa seems to be more like Takumi. I'm not sure what to think of Tachibana so far. He seems a little bit like Masato. I can't wait to see how this series progresses along. Hopefully, I'll enjoy it as much as I have Faiz, and well heck there's still ten episodes of which I have yet to see. |

Episode 2 This episode was a pretty much defining episode. I'm starting to get more into this series. We learn that Tachibana kidnapped the Chief Karasuma. Apparently he is a traitor, but I think there is more to it than that. With practically the downfall of the BOARD, Kenzaki finds himself lost without purpose to fight as a Kamen Rider. But after an Undead attacks a innocent people, he realizes exactly what he is fighting for. Haruka asks him if he is willing to let innocent people suffer before his eyes. Kenzaki is reminded of his past as a child, while his parents were burned alive in a fire. So now he is on a mission to stop all of the Undead. Meanwhile, Aikawa senses danger as well and and becomes Kamen Rider Chalice. He and the Undead are talking what seems to be a strange language. He defeats the Undead, but and in his human form rescues Amane, but he says he found her fallen over. When the others try and ask him if he's okay, he shrugs them off and ignores them. Later Kenzaki and Kotarou are talking when another Undead appears. Kenzaki transforms into Kamen Rider Blade, but is outmatched by this Undead. He won't give up though, even when Kotarou tells him to stop. Meanwhile at the house, Aikawa wonders why he saved Amane, and then he starts oozing green blood. He then hears the language of the Undead again and comes to join the fight as Chalice with Kamen Rider Blade. After defeating the Undead, Blade asks to become his ally, but Chalice responds by saying everyone is his enemy and attacks Blade. Wow, pretty cool episode. I'm starting to like the characters. It looks like Kamen Rider Blade will be a great series if this keeps up. |

so what if they're behind? It takes time for them to sub something hell look how long it took them to sub zyuranger ep. 3, look how long it took them to sub dekaranger ep.'s 1, 2, and 3. You don't see ppl in here complaining (like you are) about when they sub an ep., so my advice to you aba-gill-uwaga raijer-ranger fan: watch all the other kamen rider ep's you may/may not have downloaded or the ones you have on hkdvd to bide the time. |

Episodes 3 and 4 Well, this is interesting. It turns out that Tachibana's body is falling apart, and his only hope of getting answers is the Chief. The story of the Undead seems to have begun ten thousand years ago. In their efforts to become immortal, the humans sealed them away in cards. But now it seems as though the Chief and his collegues released them. Hirose refuses to believe that he could do something so terrible. It seems as though in excitement of the Rider technology, that the Undead seal was broken in order to seal them again. But the Rider technology is leaching off of their bodies, and Tachibana says he is falling apart, and so will Kenzaki. Kenzaki seems to be pretty weird, but he is happy to have friends in Hirose and Katorou. Meanwhile, Hajime fights more Undead as his photos mysteriously burst into flames. He fights against Blade; as Chalice. But it seems that he has a past in this as well, and apparently, according to Ep 5 preview, he's only masquerading as a human. Pretty interesting series so far. |
