Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form Posts: 0 Group: Super MOD Member #47 Joined: March 13, 2003	My personal opinion on the main-streaming of sentai/tokusatsu into American culture is this: sentai is at the same crossroads that anime found itself at in the 80s-early 90s. Up until that point, anime had been available only on a very limited basis to the public with the exception of such series as Speed Racer and Voltron which were seen as Saturday Morning Cartoons for the pre-teen set. That all changed when movies like Akira and Vampire Hunter D and series like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Rurori Kenshin were released to the public in uncut format. The reaction? Anime was acknowledged by entertainment leaders as a genre unto itself and fans of all ages embraced the various forms that have been pouring in since. If sentai/tokusatsu could do the same thing, then we could very well see the same result. It would require finding a series that would fall outside the typical realm of Power Rangers-esque. In my opinion, some of the old school sentai or Kamen Rider could easily do this. It would not happen quickly mind you, but slowly I believe that an older, more mature sentai or tokusatsu could very easily win over a new generation of Japanese Live-Action fans.

Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form Posts: 0 Group: Super MOD Member #47 Joined: March 13, 2003	Personally I'd rather see Kamen Rider Black or Kamen Rider Agito. Ryuuki is good, but is a little to off-beat from the rest of the Kamen Rider tradition for my tastes. But then again, it could be good.

Personally, I love the costume.. and it pays tribute to the old Masked Rider. Especially after being gone for so long, I think that's important if they were to bring it back.
