Actually, list on - s'fun to hear what you have to say. On 1) - I disagree, actually, because Bella has no character. And someone who not only lacks originality but also lacks a personality is well, not a character. But you could always say that that's the epitome of Mary-Sue. 2) - total agree. Meyer needs suspense lessons. Take the first book. The most interesting part was the pre-plot stuff. Then she tried to build suspensy stuff and... failed. And yes. I agree with everything else. People not getting out much? - You made me smile :) |

In theory, the characters have absolutely no build-up throughout the entire series. Take Bella for instance. She's the same in every single book, helpless and hopeless, and she's a total brat and always wants what she wants. In the books, her personality does not change at all, and she still is that way, too. Edward obviously has no improvement, and I think that it really is him who is the mary-sue. Stefanie Meyer really needed a better character set-up for him, because he is a self-less teenager who always wants to make Bella happy. I agree with the suspense part, too. It was very predictable to know what was going to happen next, and they weren't even that suspensful even. The beginning of "Twilight: was okay, but throughout the other books, they were extremely boring, and I just skipped to the end of most of the books because it seemed like there was no point in reading on. Yeah, her writing style was really weird, and I didn't enjoy it very much, especially in "Breaking Dawn." |

I remember hearing about that. xD I don't want to read angsty Ed's POV, kthx. Oh! And have you guys read the other book that Meyer wrote? The Host? XD The first half was great, until the other half looked very much like a Twilight look-alike... And the ending felt like a total rip-off. >_> |

I've read a except of The Host, but not the entire thing. xD After reading the summary on Wiki, I decided it won't be worth the time. Meyer likes writing about selfsacrifice in relationship much? |

Wow, there's quite a large consensus about Meyer's (lack of good) style. How did the books get so popular? I suppose fan girls are pretty talented in forcing themselves to read stuff..... |

Maybe it's because Bella's presence in the book is easily replaced by the reader's own ego. xD And besides, Ed seems to smell good/look like a god (albeit stone cold), and a VAMPIRE. That gets the girls going. |

Role models too. You should hear the fangirls complaining about haters. Their arguments are hilariously contradictory. |

There's definitely some crazy arguments out there... O_o But most people I know don't like the series. And I avoid Twilight forums, haha. I'm rereading Twilight today. :o Fun, fun. Bella's depressing. .__. |

I know a lot of fangirls out there. Most, I think, of my friends are not included in this number. Some are sane fans, though. I commend them for that. |

http://angelishi.deviantart.com/art/Twilight-Stamp-111081860 I haven't read ANY Twilight book. I've watched the movie, which was long, boring and trite. Seriously, I got worried about our society after watching it -___-' |
