Alright, so basically, just pick a manga you like and talk about it! Tell us why it's good, and how you started reading it and whatnot. Have fun! ^^ |

Hmm...... Bleach? I don't like the pairings there, though. |

Bleach anyone? I don't remember exactly how I got into the anime...( It want anime, then manga) but, nowadays, it's my favorite. (FAIL.) Wells, if you're looking for a diverse cast, somewhat illogical battle scenes, sword fighting, annoying fillers ( Anime only! :D) and suspense, then you have picked up the right manga. Enjoy! And remember, Espada ftw. XD |

Ew...Bleach...yucchy. I remember watching the anime once...it was about Rukia or something, and I was just like uh... Hey! My friend, who goes to my school, has an obsession with the Espada, too! Wait...O_o Bleach is creepy...even the name is weird! Reminds me of bleach. |

Out of all the ones I've read, the only ones that stick with me is the Phoenix series (by Tezuka), and Fruit Basket. xDD I want to read Akira, next. |

I agree with Silver - Fruits Basket is really good. Shojo, comedy/romance, with a pinch of fantasy and some very dark bits in it. It's about a girl called Tohru, who accidentally walks into the Sohma household and discovers that the family is cursed by the spirits of the Zodiac... ...basically, it's about breaking the curse. It really stays with you when you've finished reading it... Another manga I'd recommend if you just want a nice, easy read is +Anima. It's a very sweet shonen manga about four children who are +Anima - they have the spirit of an animal inside them that allows them to have animal characteristics if they so choose (eg Crow +Anima could mean you have wings, bear +Anima means you may have claws). +Anima aren't particularly liked in their society, so they have to move around all the time, and the series is basically about all their adventures. You don't realise until the very end how bittersweet it is.... For those of you into more...gory, adventurey manga, I'd say you might like Claymore. It's set in a fantasy world where creatures called yoma prey on humans. The only ones capable of destroying the yoma are women from the Organisation, known as Claymores because of their swords. The Claymores are actually half-human, half-yoma - they have yoma flesh and blood put into their bodies to give them better strength. It doesn't sound that good at first, but I got hooked on it for some inexplicable reason... maybe you guys will, too. |

Yeah, I've heard of "Fruit Basket" before since my school library has it. Kind of piqued my interest, but I was confused because on every cover, there is always a different character or something. I'm not really planning on reading it right now. What is "Fruit Basket" about anyway? |
