I've got another game I would like to recommend.

It's 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors.

Game description:
Not to spoil and reveal much, I'll simply explain the title. The evil villain, called Zero, has kidnapped 9 random persons and took them to a Titanic-like ship. The characters have 9 hours to find a way out. The kidnapped persons are forced to play a Nonary Game (nona-9) - each of them has a bracelet with a number from 1-9, which they have to use to go through one of the 9 doors. However, only the 9th door will grant them escape.

Characters:
The story forces characters to change their everyday behaviour. They have full right to become suspicious of one another. On the other hand, since they are so close to death, they show the other side of their personality and try to cooperate with each other. Good things is that some characters do not loose their sense of humour during that time, which lightens the harrowing plot a little bit.

Gameplay:
The visual novel form allows the player experience several parallel endings. The main point of the Nonary Game is...solving puzzles, which is a nice break from the story.
The main pleasure of 999 is advancing the plot to reveal all the story's mysteries. Apart from Zero's mystery, each 999 character has its own dark secret... Good thing that most of them don't loose the sense of humour, because some scenes are simply priceless.

Music:
I won't call it the masterpiece, but some tracks are simply memorable and they perfectly emphasize the situations.

To sum up:
+plot
+character creation (I mean both their personality and appearance) and interaction
+puzzles
+multiple endings

-necessity to repeat the beginning, after getting an ending
-no hint how to achieve the last ending
