Ok thanks for the info Phimi. It seems that I got a bit confused on the White Dwarf thing (and a quick research showed that our Sun will leave behind a Neutron Star, as it were). Honest mistake...

black holes are some of the most disordered objects in the universe.

And the most unstable ones too, if you consider a theory which states that a Black Hole constantly emits radiation (called the Hawking radiation) which is expected to be thermal radiation and, based on the E=mc2, they will lose mass because of this, thus leading to the result of the Black Hole shrinking and evaporating over the time. If Hawking's theory is correct then this trully makes the Black Holes the most unstable and disordered objects in the universe (and, if I may add, less more threatening now that there are speculations of an 'expirational' date of the Black Holes :P ).

Well, since the frequency of the emitted radiation increases with the curvature of the event horizon, which increases as the mass of the black hole decreases, which it is as a result of the radiation, they're not that much safer than before, as an average mass black hole will still have a lifetime of several trillion trillion trillion trillion years, and when they do go away, they kinda "explode", as it were, in a huge fountain of gamma rays. So as opposed to just sitting around relatively sedately for all of time, they are in fact some of the largest ticking time bombs possible. Just as a side note, primordial black holes theorised to have been produced in the enormous energy densities of the big bang with a mass the same as Mt. Everest will be blowing up like this any day now. As a clue to how dangerous this may be, it is theorised that a gamma ray burst from a hypergiant star collapsing straight into a black hole is what caused the extinction at the end of the Ordovician period 443 million years ago.

In reference to my earlier answer, I have a slightly less vague answer now. The entropy of a black hole with the mass of the sun is about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times the entropy of the actual sun.

Neutron stars are remnants of supernovae, so the sun isn't going to be one, it will expand into a red giant after fusing helium, the outer layers will be shed into a planetary nebula, the core will shrink slightly and become a white dwarf.

Well, in the next 5 billion years anyway.

Wow you surely are more into astronomy than me. Are you considering of being an astronomer or something? You are really good (by the way, I rechecked what I said about our Sun earlier, and it seems that one of the sites that I used for my search was not using valid informations. A quick look on wikipedia confirmed my first response about our Sun's 'death result', as I call it. With your post about the white dwarfs and the number crunching, I got confused and I thought that I had something messed up and passed it to others. And then, panicky, I sought to rectify myself. But it would appear that I should have more faith in my knowledges as it were.).

Thanks, but I think it's just because I'm older and have already done the astrophysics course my school offers, not to mention the amount of books on the extremes of physics (Astro- all the way to quantum) I've been allowed to keep from the school's library as no-one else had gotten them out in a decade, on average.
There is a lot on black holes in the book Other Worlds, by Paul Davies, as well as a lot on quantum mechanics. It's old, but a very good read, and not as complicated as it sounds. If you're interested in the planets, there's Patrick Moore's New Guide to the Planets, with a very detailed analysis of all the planets in the solar system (including Pluto, since it was written slightly before it got demoted).

Also, for Suzu, since you like the deep space kinda thing, Quintessence, by Lawrence M. Krauss deals with a lot of that stuff.

I'll stop sounding like an advertisement now.

Well Dark, it seems that you experienced one of the common mishaps of internet: if you can't see a face, you can only guess any information about it, but when the real status is unfolded many innocent civilians, like you, are bound to be confused. Severely, as it is...........

Cutting the story short, I didn't know Phimi's age and thought him/her being older and Phimi thought that I was younger. Next time I may considerate the option of visiting a member's personal page :huh?: . Phimi found it extremelly usefull, at least :P .

And on top of that, I confused the Edit and Quote buttons. You can see the results right here.....

They do exist, in the concepts of many theories. However, only two seem to be the most, dominantly, valid. The first candidate for access to those dimensions is...
...
...
That's right you guessed it. A Black Hole!!!!!!!!!!! But, I'm not gonna dwelve into this because I've already stated many things about this matter in previous posts of mine about the Black Holes.

I will mostly focus on the second theory which is a very mind-buzzing one, but not for those who have a clear enough mind to understand it.

I will put this as simple as possible:

Suppose you decide to take a walk around your city, and while you are walking, you spot a deserted wallet on the road. Now you think: should I pick it up or let it be? And the moment you begin to make your move, it happens...The 'parent' dimension is splited in two. The first dimension is the one that you decided to pick up the wallet, and the world of this decision continue to live as usual, but under the concequenses (however small) that come with it, and the second one is that where you you didn't pick the wallet and the world goes as it is through your desision. And because of that demonstration they decided to call them parralel...because they are images of the 'parent' but they are not the real worlds...they are what if versions of the 'parent'.

And that's how a parralel universe is created and by extension it can, in theory, exist. And with the Black Hole theory we have a possible way of entering them (always theoritically speaking, that is).
