***** State of The Region Address *****

November 10, 2017

Greetings Citizens of Texas!

It is our great pleasure to announce that Texas has entered into an Official Embassy with The Great Region of [region]International Democratic Union[/region]. This alliance comes after years of friendship between The Great Nation of [nation]Bears Armed[/nation] the citizens of Texas. There have been numerous acts of kindness that many never even knew that happened such as the time when an Issue caused us to lose our WA membership and Mr. Bear greatly assisted in our getting our endorsements back so that we did not lose the Delegacy. The IDU is a firm believer in the World Assembly as are we. Like our friends in Antarctic Oasis, they have made many contributions to the mold The World into the place it is today, mostly for the better (joke, IDU, just a joke). Through things like this, we discovered that both regions had much in common such as anti-invader policies, respect for nations and their sovereignty and other fine sentiments. This Alliance would not be possible without the hard work put forth by Mr. Bear, the Chairbear of Bears Armed, and the Texas Representative Council. In order to cement our relationship, Texas will be creating an Embassy on the the Texas offsite and perhaps the IDU will be doing the same.

We have not named an Ambassador to the IDU at this time, but Texas Department of State is working on that as we speak. The Texas Secretary of State, Trecdom2, deserves a big Texas-sized kudos for bringing this Embassy together. Not only did he have to wrangle the Texas Cabinet, but the Texas Representative Council as well to make this all happen. Thank you, Trec! And, shameless plug here, if anyone is interested in becoming the Texas Ambassador to the International Democratic Union, please reach out the Trec; he does not bite, we promise.

This alliance not only enhances our chances of mutual survival but to also affirms to our regions that every effort is being made to ensure that the peace and stability our nations enjoy is maintained. We also are making it known that our regions are not alone should anything threaten the tenants our regions hold dear or its citizens.

So, once again, we encourage you to salute our new friends from the IDU here or on their RMB. And, should you so desire, head on over to the International Democratic Union to say Hello From Texas. The borders of Texas are always wide open as are those of the IDU. As we mentioned earlier, we truly think this is a good thing and that the sharing of citizens, cultures, and borders can only enhance the strength of each of our regions as well as provide new avenues of growth. We also encourage everyone to not only join our offsite forum but our newest friends, the International Democratic Union's as well! See you there!

Cheers to the International Democratic Union! Cheers to Texas!
