Texas Representative Council Per Article X: Texas Representative Council Texas shall freely elect a Regional Council. The purpose of the Council shall include: 1. To mediate any internal disputes that may threaten Regional peace, security or prosperity. 2. The make up of the Council shall include the Cabinet Members of Texas. Additionally, the number of Texas Representative Council seats shall be determined by the number of seats in the Texas Cabinet. To make sure that the majority is made up of TRC members and that there is always an odd number of seats, to prevent ties in voting, the following will occur: a. If there are an even number of seats on the Cabinet, then there shall be five (5) more TRC seats than Cabinet seats. b. If there is an odd number of Cabinet seats, then there shall be four (4) more TRC seats than Cabinet seats. New elections will be held quarterly for Council Members. 3. The Council will adjudicate any internal complaints and will assist in formulating reponses and courses of action in international affairs. 4. The council will preside in matters regarding breaches of the Texas Constitution. 5. Any Alliance approved by the Cabinet will be sent to the TRC for approval. If the vote of the full TRC is against the proposed alliance then the proposed alliance will be declined. 6. The Council shall make no law, nor pass any bills to collect revenue or make expenditures, but only deliberate and vote on resolutions of good will, recognition, and celebration. Additional duties will include welcoming new nations to Texas and being an Official Texas Goodwill Ambassador*. Greetings, Fellow Texans! I, DARTH KERMIT, am running yet again for the TEXAS REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL. As an incumbent member of the Representative Council (NINE terms now, and STILL no indictments), I pledge to continue providing the good citizens of Texas with the kind of government bureaucracy that you’ve come to expect from your beloved elected officials. Now I USED to offer cold, hard ca$h for your votes (and still will, if you want it!), but recently some of my esteemed opponents claim to have taken the High Moral Ground, and won’t offer bribes!!! Well now I’m offering High Moral Ground for your vote! I recently picked up several hundred acres in the Hill Country at rock bottom prices due to the Real Estate crisis! Any Texas nation endorsing and promising to vote for me on this thread will be given a tract in my new development, High Moral Ground Estates. Full hook ups and the pads are large enough for double-wides!!! As an added incentive to the first endorser, I’ll throw in Crazy Hell for War! In fact, I’ll *(what’s that? I can’t give them CHW? Dang legal technicalities! Well, okay)* Sorry folks, that last offer has been withdrawn!!! Anyway, VOTE FOR DARTH KERMIT!!! :darth2 Thank you, and God Bless Texas!

Although we here at Dolfor are but occasional visitors as "Texas expats" dwelling out on the US Left Coast, we are honored to have been nominated for the Council. We can offer, as the Sanity's Haven of Dolfor, indeed a dose of sanity in our sky-is-falling-hysteria world, even if said sanity comes laced with the cynicism that attends the dismantling of well-intentioned but too-often-bumbling WA resolutions. If you would like a wry, rational voice to help speak for Texas, we here at Dolfor would greatly appreciate your consideration. |

Hello again, Texas the magnificent. This is Independent Planets. And I was hoping we could talk. Let's talk about government, shall we? Or more specifically, your government, dear Texas. As your representative, it is my responsibility to participate in our great democracy. So, as your representative, I am your voice. Vote for me and we can reach our full potential. Beautiful. Powerful. One Texas, now and forever. And now, dearest Texas, we must say farewell. For there is much work to be done, and the Texas Representative Council never rests. Never. Until we meet again, this is your representative, Independent Planets, signing off. |

WHEN YOU VOTE: BE SURE AND PICK 14 ALL AT ONE TIME ** If you mess up, it cannot be redone without throwing out all results (not a likely option) **

My fellow Texans... I do not promise you favors if you elect me. I do not promise you prosperity. I do not promise you a copy of the Kama Sutra (that stays with me!) I do not promise that I will refrain from skipping ahead in line at the BBQ. I do not promise to write you every day while I am away at my mansion on a secluded island with my thousands of concubines. But I do promise that I will be fair, good-humored, and support Texan values. And cars. And cuddly kittens. Those sorts of things. Thank you.
