I have no clue how I failed to decline this nomination, but my utter obliviousness to my nomination should clue the rest of you in to the fact that I would be completely useless as VP. Which is as good a reason as any to vote FOR either of my two worthy opponents. |

Repeating my statement from the nominations thread, which Kermie helpfully found for me: "Y'all are really kind, but I have to decline any nomination for anything other than counter culture. " And if you choose to vote for No Confidence for Counter Culture, that's okay by us, too! |

Interesting. And I was thinking of dropping out of the race as well. I think you would make a good VP. |

After three months of some serious consideration and weighing of options and future plans, I've finally arrived at my decision. Part of it was my availability during the winter months, and my RL obligations. And part of it was my past service to the great region of Texas. I have served as Secretary of Internal Affairs for a total of 7 quarters, Vice President for a total of 7 quarters, and TRC for a total of 4 quarters, all nonconsecutively. Based on that and a few other things, I have decided not seek another term for Vice President this quarter. Instead I will only be running for a position in the Texas Representative Council this time. Thank you. |

Let me guess - you all did a write in vote for Huckabee in the last election? How many times do I have to decline before it's official? Richard, you are leaving some big shoes behind that I am sure CHB will ably fill. You will be missed. Enjoy RL and the TRC, my pharoahic friend. VOTE CHB FOR VP! |

Well, I definitely need a break. The VP position doesn't seem to be in high demand, with a lot of candidates dropping out. Maybe a new person will give the VP position an overdue facelift.
Have you thought about being the VP at all? |

Yes, I thought about it. I even read the requirements. That's how I know I don't want to be VP and that CHB would be a good one. VOTE CHB FOR VP |

I posted my previous endorsement for Bearries in this race in an attempt to get an amusing reaction from her after her blunt declination of the nomination. Alas, said reaction was not forthcoming, much to my own chagrin. Therefore, let me please clarify that I am endorsing CHB as VP for Texas. I haven't known him long but he seems to have what it takes. Plus, he's virtually a neighbor of mine, almost. Sort of. ![]() I mean, far be it from me to try to force Bearries into a post she doesn't want, know what I'm sayin?

Wow, I didn't know Richard was the VP for seven YEARS?! I didn't know Texas was AROUND for seven years! As another former VP, I too endorse CHB, and have confidence that he will do a find job in office. I again apologize for not providing competition this time, but like Richard, availability problems and RL preclude me from doing so. |
