**Texas Constitutional Update**

Texas Constitution: --none--

The Great Region of Texas officially issues Congratulations to each and every nation that was elected, that ran, that voted, that viewed these proceedings! These were some great elections as usual! All the incumbent Cabinet members who chose to run again were re-elected. But the highlight must be the Vice President of Texas race! Texas, we are proud to announce that we once again have Joint Vice Presidents due to a tie between current VP Green-ville and former VP Richard II! These two have been Joint Vice Presidents before, so this is not unprecedented, but exciting nonetheless.

The Texas Representative Council race had an unexpected turn of events as well. It turns out that we wound up with two vacant positions! This has never happened before. In accordance with the Texas Constitution, there will be a Special Election to fill the two vacancies. The voting schedule will be abbreviated to 3 days for each phase versus the 7 days normally. Nominations for the vacant seats begin Immdiately and will run thru Wednesday followed by 3 days of speeches to conclude on Saturday the 22nd followed by 3 days of voting to conclude on Tuesday the 25th. Wow! What a mess. Texans, if you want to join the prestigous Texas Represent ative Council, you now have a second chance.

All the Cabinet members are incumbents with the exception of Defense, which was recently vacated. Lord Drake of Havensky ran against perinnial favorite F799 in a hard fought battle worth of a TDF skirmish. Havensky was the eventual winner and big things are expected of the new SecDef. This is a great tribute to the effectiveness of the incumbents!

Once again, we do not recall any questionable "moments" in the races this year, but that is ok. It was a nice clean race.

There was no Texas Constitutional activity this quarter. This is a tribute to the stability of our Constitution.

Big cheers to all the new and returning Texas Representative Council members and new and returning Cabinet members! Farewell to the departing ones, your service is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you once again in the future! Special thanks to all who ran and if you didn't win, we hope you run again in the future.

Overall, this has been great fun and a highlight for all Texans. We look forward to seeing how the new freely-elected Government of Texas will make Texas bigger, better and greater than ever! Cheers to The Great Region of Texas!

Let the festivities begin! The Party has already started on the same thread! Also, the Special Election Nominations thread is open in the Texas Election Commission as well.

The Announcement is posted here: http://invisionfree.com/forums/Texas/index...?showtopic=4547

Long Live The Great Region of Texas!
