The Governer-General last night threw the switch to light the Colony's Official Christmas Tree in a ceremony well attended by residents of the City. Music was provided by the Channelview Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with carols sung by the Combined Churches Choir of Chennelview.

The tree, a Highland Pine flown in from Grays Harbor special for the occassion, was 11 meters tall and lit by well over 1000 lights.
