***********For Immediate Release*********** Today the NewTexas Network News (NNN) is in NewTexas at the NewAlamo Hangar with Big Tex for a press conference. BJJBob: "Howdy Texans! This is Billy Joe Jim Bob (BJJBob) with the NewTexas Network News. We are here at the hangar to talk to Big Tex about the impending launch of the Texas Space Station NewAlamo. As everyone can see, the place looks like a tornado hit it except nothing really looks destroyed. There are pieces parts literally everywhere! And, Big Tex is standing right in the middle of all of it. Hello Big Tex, what on earth is going on here? We were under the impression that NewAlamo was going to be deployed on the Anniversary of Texas's creation - November 28th! This place is a wreck." Big Tex: "Ha, ha, ha! Billy Joe we can tell you are not a rocket scientist in more ways than one! What you are seeing here are the individual components of NewAlamo. We have been working extremely hard to make the Space Station as modular as possible. We understand your confusion, it is kind of hard to envision exactly what it will look like in space." BJJBob: "Um, ok. So what you are saying is that these pieces parts are going to be put together in space?" Big Tex: "Exactly Jim Bob! See, since everything is modular, all we have to do is assemble them in space. Now here is why we have called you here. Big Tex is not an architect and the original architects have all moved on to future Top Secret projects and not even Big Tex cannot find them. So what we need is the help of the Texas populace to determine a design for NewAlamo, the Texas Space Station!" BJJBob: "So you are saying that with two weeks left to go, you don't even know what the final design of NewAlamo will look like?" Big Tex: "Yeppers! We don't care what Daisy Belle says, there is still some light in the old bulb there BJ! What we have come up with are 13 designs that we have posted on the offsite forum. We have created a Poll where Texans can vote on the design of New Alamo. We would do it here but we cannot post the images here." BJJBob: "Wow, Big Tex, these are some cool looking plans you got there. It should be interesting as to what Texans pick!" Big Tex: "That is a a nice way to put it Billy Bob, we were thinking more along the lines of amazing or miraculous! If all these parts can be assembled into any of these designs... Well, it is just staggering... (Big Tex wanders off muttering)" BJJBob: "Well, there you have it, Big Tex is leaving the NewAlamo design fate up to the citizens of Texas! Simply incredible!. We now go to Daisy Belle Flores with an interview with Dilbert McDork of the accounting firm of NewTexasBeanCounters Inc." DBF: "Gracias Billy Joe Jim Bob, Buenas Tardes! I am here at NewTexasBeanCounters Inc. (NBC) to interview Dilbert McDork about the NewAlamo PRHC Center of Retail Excellence. Hola Dilbert, how's the counting going?" DMcD: "Howdy Daisy Belle, you're looking fresh as a flower as always! We have been reviewing the contributions to the PRHC CoRE and have found that we have 14 showcases on board and ready for trade! Alas, two of the nations with retail space have joined the 'League of Disappearing Nations' so we will be unable to replenish their stock once it is gone." DBF: "Can you tell us about some of the more interesting products for sale?" DMcD: "Yes Daisy Belle, CEO Beefheart of No Stinking Taxes is offering Genuine Armadillo Handbags (snicker, snicker, any wonder he was attacked by armadillos?). Queeny of Tweety is offering up Kanary Kebabs and President Ken of Texasawnutts has a nice truck dealership set up. There are too many goods and service to list here, but rest assured NBC is keeping track of them all and looks forward to new arrivals every day!" DBF: "Thank you for the update Dilbert. We have to sign off now, but will be reporting as events develop. This is Daisy Belle Flores signing off for Billy Joe Jim Bob and NNN." |

Note: Each of the options seems to slip in and out of existence at various times throughout the day. Maybe these sites have not had this much traffic in a while. If you don't see the picture right now, check back later, there are some pretty good ones. Also: All Votes Are Final! We cannot edit or reset the votes and they are totally anonymous. |

I too voted for the 1st one. There are 3 pictures in the group that are just different angles of the same station, the one from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Just fyi.

Once we get the Star Wars Missile Defense System afixed onto this baby, BBQ On-Demand will have a whole new meaning! As for the Showrooms, sky's the limit! We are going to be needing a new Texas Secretary of Space real soon to make the deployment happen!

I like the fourth one. ( the one with two sets of disks and the solar panels in between). It has lots of space and is the only circular station with panels. |

The fourth one has some great potential Richard. Our original Texas Star Wars Missile Defense System was only designed to protect 200 nations! Seeing as we have more than 200 nations now, we should probably get to upgrading pretty quick. With #4, we could just build another TSWMDS and mount one on the bottom of each panel each and cover each half of Texas with thier own! |

Well sure, Texas should get more protection, not that we need it or anything. Though I was thinking of using it as a refueling station for space shuttles and for spying on dangerous regions. Just don't forget to mount the IMAX screen, projector, and surround sound system. You know, to watch something while eating BBQ. Who knows.... we might just project a movie right on the moon. |

Up until today, the fourth picture never displayed, so today is the first I've seen of it. I'd originally voted for #1, but I think I'd like to change my vote to #4, I like it much better. It seems to be bigger, and a bit sleeker looking. I still can't see picture #2. Pictures 3, 11, and 13 are all different renditions of the same design. |

One question, have we discovered how to create artificial gravity yet? I mean, other than spinning the entire spacestation. |

It sure is nice to be associated with a region with such sophisticated space programs. Here is rare photo of the CoNST Space Shuttle just before the entire program was scrapped:![]() Trying to develop a space program without taxes ain't easy, and we were limited to bake sales & using Nanook's old Volkswagon as a starting point. However, it was not all in vain! We gained some valuable research from the project. ![]() Richard, we studied the gravity problem quite closely. We figured that it would take us over our budget to make the vehicle spin, so as an innovative solution, we instead tried spinning the astronauts just before launch. Unfortunately, it did not work.

SO MANY CHOICES! I picked the first one. It appealed to me for some reason, but 4 is nice, too. I simply ADORE CoNST's space vehicle, but I don't think I'd like to live there or visit, if the smiley at the page bottom is any indication of the experience. |

Our new space secretary will be a very busy person. A missle defence plan and a newalamo design to implement. Fortunately we have qualified nations ready to meet the challenge. |

I also would like to add, as a CAD designer for an engineering firm, I will happily volunteer to draft up some deck plans and layouts once the final design is selected. Is there a way to upload images to this forum? I'd rather do that than store them in my personal webpage space with my isp. |

Jmac: you can mail uploads to const@comcast.net. I'll upload it to some CoNST web storage space and send you back the URL for posting. Send me a PM here, though, 'cause I never check that account unless I know something's coming, and it's pretty well spam-infested, making it hard to locate legit messages. What kind of CAD systems are in use in Greenspoint? Dweezil |

We use both AutoCAD and Microstation cad platforms, along with certain third party and in-house coded programs. 95% of our firm's production is in Microstation, however. I'm one of the few people that is proficient in both programs. Thanks for the offer Dweezil. I have my own space I can upload them to, I was just curious if the forum itself had an inherent storage area for embedded images. What's the capacity of your storage? |
