Prinny: Can I really be the hero?

All Disgaea/Prinny fans know this game is coming out. I, myself, have played it. I just have one thing to say, this game is difficult.

In the game, you get 1000 lives/units. When you die, you lose one, and you don't get them back in between levels.
If you can beat the first 5 levels without losing 500 out of your 1000 lives, your considered a master.

I have played Disgaea and while the story and dialog was brilliant I did find the game pretty difficult, I think I was on my third or fourth cycle getting near the end of the game, always meant to go back to it, never did...

I noticed this game is coming out, the idea of it seems pretty funny, not sure if it would really be that great a game though. Plus I think there's a Disgaea 2 and I've never played La Pucelle Tactics or that other one I forget the name of, so I'm kinda at a loss for the story.

Come to think of it what console is this for? PSP, right, won't be getting it then. I just checked and now there a Disgaea 3, wow I'm behind.
Hope, Faith, Love and most importantly, Luck.

I've only played Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness.
Its a remake of Disgaea 1 for the psp.
There was another remake called Disgaea DS. Which had waaaaaay more features than the psp one did. The only thing the Psp had that the Ds didn't were voice overs.

You just have to like Prinnys to play this game..... dood....

How can anyone not like Prinnys?

Maybe I'll play through the first one again soon and go from there, might actually get a PS3 one day and I think my brother has the ones that came before Disgaea. If I ever get a PSP, which frankly seems unlikely I'll probably pick this up.

I guess I'd prefer a game thats hard and challenging than a game like Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts which is by far the most aggravating game I have ever played and it's not actually very difficult, it just made me want to through it out the window several times.

I heard Banjo Kazooi 3 was awefull. Did they keep the blowing up mario part?

Anyways, Prinny is a good game if you don't get frustrated easily by dying. But it's not worth buying a whole system for. Plus, it's not even out in the U.S. yet, I've been playing the jappanese version I imported.

Can you read Japanese? Or does have an english option or something? I don't think the game would be worth it at all without the hilarious dialog.

Banjo Kazooie isn't really awful, it just seems like they could have done the vehicle thing with an entirely different game and kept it as a platformer, making the vehicles is really fun and so is driving them, but parts of the game almost drove me insane. Like the targeting, "put the jiggy in the trolley, no not that jiggy, no not the vehicle itself", then a police car comes past and smashes all the jiggys onto the floor.

I can understand enough of it to get the gist of it.
And I know when to laugh in any language so I'm good.
