Killer7, yep, I know, this game has recieved many mixed reviews ranging from 50%(gamespy) to 84% in the UK NGC (average rating of 78.7% Overall Killer7 is ranked 1081st on the all-time list of games). In anycase I recieved my copy a day before release from www.gameplay.co.uk for only £27 which I believe is rather good. As we all know, the main man is Harman Smith - an old man who has 7 personalities but honestly, it is much deeper than that. While still in development capcom gave out virtually very little and the video's released still left all of us confused. Well, the game is released and I have played it for a few hours and I am still very much confused, moreso than before. I have spoken to quite a few other gamers, some who are more skilled at gaming than me and a few hours into the game and all of them were left confused. When you play it for the first time it will annoy you, it will confuse you, you will get lost and you may die quite often and you may also be quite freaked out at times. The first thing that will confuse you are the controls, A is to run, B is to turn, X is for the map, R is to switch in first-person mode to attack, L is to scan for enemies and whilst in first-person mode A is to fire your guns/reload and the anologue stick it to AIM and that is basically it. The amount of buttons used is down to the minimum yet this has to be one of the most original, beautiful, innovative game that I have ever played thus far. The music really creates a new dimention to this game, it is used very well. It will not really scare you as much as freak you out as in keep you on the edge of the seat. The graphics are nice, smooth and stylish but it doesn't really push the gamecube hardware to its limits like Resident Evil 4 but then again capcom was going for a new look and they have done it rather well. Killer7 is a 2-disc game meaning that it is a long game, how many hours roughly I do not know but I would guess at about 30 hours. This game will be very hard when it comes to recommending it to someone, to really understand this game you really need to play it first hand, one word that explains this game is: INSANE Saying that, this game is very violent and explicit. Even more violent than Resident Evil 4 but then Resi4 has a realistic style to it but still if you love blood then this is your game but there is more. There are explicit sex scenes in this game, I was pretty shocked to hear about them as I would have thought that Capcom would have been forced to edit them out but no, the sex scenes are said to be very explicit so as expected this is an 18+ game. I'm 3-4 hours into the game so w00t, I'll play it in a few minutes. The thing is with this game is that if you don't understand it you won't like it but if you are willing to give it a chance and nottice why capcom decided to change things so radically then you will enjoy this game very much so. The game is available for the Gamecube and Playstation2 although I would suggest that if you had the choice (like I do) that you should buy the Gamecube version because: a)It looks better, the graphics are much more sharper B) Much faster loading times c) The frame-rate on the GC remains very smooth and constant at 60fps unlike thePs2 version which dips from time to time. I suggest that you should rent the game before buying it. But I knew that I would like it from the sound of things so I'm happy with my purchase. ^_^ here are some pics: Posted Image http://images.google.co.uk/images?svnum=10...iller+7&spell=1 |

Cybernet said it's repedative and boring, and i hate repedative games, so i won't be getting it :P And on the case...if you had a black guy in a white suit as one of your personalities why would you need the other 6? |

lol The black guy in the suite is a healer, he revives dead personalities. He is the head man of all the personalities. He is the one who handles the missions and is the only one who can talk to Harman Smith. The only female is a emo/psycho. She slits her wrists and her blood destroys barriers and open new areas. Mask De Smith an ex-wrestler who has brute strength carried a pair of bomb guns. Kevin Smith can turn invisable and I can't remember what the other people can do. |
