Did any of you guys watch live8 on tv? well, i was there:P, but boasting aside, what did youse think? who was the best act/worst act/embarassment etc? I though robbie williams was an absolute god, im not even a fan of him but the fairly atmosphereless concert came alive when he came on, and very few artists managed to lift the crowd like taht. Snoop Dogg was also fantastic, as were travis, and sting kicked ass. The who were pretty good until i had to go and catch the last train:(, missing pink floyd and paul mccartney:(, saw mccartney on the tele though back at uncles. it was a great moment when geldof came on to sing "i dont like mondays", probably one of the best at the concert actually |

*copies and pastes from blog* Yeah anyway, I was working on friday and saturday but it was kinda good. I didn't miss "Live 8" as we have 2 tvs in the carryout section so as its 'my' department, I sat there watching it live and here are my thoughts on the thing as a whole: Well to be honest, I didn't really know who/what to expect to see on stage but these are my thoughts: Although I am not a MASSIVE REM fan they are really good live, like really good. And me being one of those people who tend to bash the whole 'rap culture' and really hating mostly everything that has to do with rap, pimps, wiggas, 'ho's etc Snoop Dawg was also great live. Madonna was amazing and so was Robbie Williams (I love this guy). All of theses people got the crowd going, even though the crowd wasn't all that good in the first place. Then the show jumped to the USA and guess who was on, yeah thats right, my big willy...Will Smith that is ! Again, he was good and the american crowd was probably a little bit more active than the london one. Ricky Gervais and Peter Kay: I thought both of them were hilarious. Peter Kay was good with singing "The way to Amirrilo" and insulting the stage manager at the same time and Ricky was his usual entertaining self. Even though I believe that the acts could have been better, I still think that its was good. I still believe though that by having Michael Jackson come on stage singing his "Earth song" would have had me jump up and down and maybe a tear or two would have appeared lol. I was very hopeful to see Michael Jackson but he sadly wasn't there. -_- Want to read more? Want to know more about me and my sad little life? Want something to look forward to? Then problem solved, look forward to my next blog piece  http://spaces.msn.com/members/teh-hangout/ ps. Leave comments :P |

They were both superb, I thought Pink Floyd were one of the best acts of the day. Comfortably Numb gave me goosebumbs and I wasn't even there. Such a great song. |
