Well, so far the game is supposed to be back to its roots. As we all know or shall I say, we all should know that Devil May Cry 1 was very stylish and very cool.

Devil May Cry 2 was a very big dissapointment. Even after reading all the reviews I was still shocked and found it hard to believe until I actually rented it out. OMG it was bad. One of the main reasons it failed was because firstly it was too easy. Secondly there was no substance to the game, I don't even know what the hell the story was. The ending when playing as Dante was pathetic. All he said was "Its time to go to hell" and it fricken ended right there. Although like past Resi game you were able to control a female as well as a male character well they did the same for DMC2 and although it did add to its lifespan it just didn't make the game any better.

Just like MGS3 which is a prequel to MGS1, DMC3 is a prequel to DMC1 and it is set to be just as good which is great news.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
Publisher: Capcom
Release date: 18/03/05 (UK)

"Style with substance" should be the motto for this slick prequel to Devil May Cry, Capcom's popular 3D action romp. The gun-slinging, sword-spinning Dante reminisces over his youth, mastering deadly combat styles and battling with his evil twin brother.

With four all-new fighting styles to choose from, Devil May Cry 3 does not dishonour the family tradition of frenzied, super-stylish, demon-slaying action.

Well the game is already out so I'll hopefully be getting it soon. On the sad news now, MGS3 and DMC3 were the only games that seems to appeal to me this year. The PS2 software line-up is dying. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I actually have this game - and I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure - it lacks substance, decent characters, acting and a plot, but it's fun as hell. If you're looking for a game for sheer entertainment it's pretty hard to beat(for a few hours at least), but after that the lack of coherent gameplay/storyline will start to rear its ugly head. The female character was AWFUL and I have to admit I never played the game the whole way through as either character. The first game was sheer genius, I hope the third one's good. They don't seem to have spruced up the graphics any though.
