I'd appreciate it if you'd stop with the snide comments kenny, I've already had to delete one of them. There's a reason for everything, and the reason here is; it's sly's forum, he doesn't want you spamming, so don't, or leave. Learn to accept that or get the hell out. Btw, I honestly thought you were being sarcastic there lol, there shall be a current affairs thread, if everyone else wants one?

man i'm an arsenal fan so i'm kinda inclined to vote for arsenal (which i did, loyal and all that)

with the purchase of shaun-wright phillips tho chelsea look like they have the few flaws they had last season covered.

and you can never forget the minnows, PSV and Lyon both did extremely well in the champions league last season

oh and did anyone hearnews that a mexican football coach got KIDNAPPED yesterday

i mean WTF!!! KIDNAPPED!!!

PSV were great last year, remember they've lost Park to Man Utd. though. I don't think liverpool will do anywhere near as well as they did last year, but I can see Chelsea grabbing it this time. Arsenal always seem to, I dno, never get it right in europe.

chris sweeney needs a new barnet. Tefler should be alright, as paul said, bit of a war horse. I'm more interested in Virgo - even though he's injured. The papers made a massive deal out of him...*dun dun dun* keeping tarantulas as pets, big bloody wow there. I just wonder why we've payed 1.5mil for a championship player, seems a bit pricey. Anyway, any news on Nakamura?

the championship's just as good as the spl, so virgo should adapt well to league; europes another matter mind u but i dont think celtic should realisticly be thinking of going far in the champions league this year, apparnetely nakumara's signing next week, celtic should sign lundekvam aswell.

heres a report of the game i was at last night, and i can confirm, bobo balde is as crap as he was last season. varga also looks dodgy and lennon looked a bit off the pace. it was typical friendly stuff tho, the players didnt really care and were just trying to get fit. the health farm did nothing to john hartson, hes still just as fat, and petrov looked pretty good. aladiere had a very very quiet game and mo camara was pretty good actually, lots of pace and overlapping with mcgeady. Craig beattie actually performed well in the right back slot, might be comething for strachan and him to think about. Boruc didnt play but zurawski was on for ten minutes and looked quite dangerous. Maloney came on too but didnt make much impact, and sutton was decent throughout. Sporting took the lead with a silly goal but then, surprisingly, celtic actually took the lead through mcgeady and hartson. We looked good at times but most of the time it was a case of giving sporting far too much room on the flanks. Marshall made a couple of good saves, but i dont remember the last time he kept a clean sheet. That guy ricardo for sporting looked as erratic as he did during the euros, he was the only sporting player id heard of. Fernandes was on the bench and i was hoping hed come on to see what he could do, but it wasnt to be. All in all, a poor game but that was to be expected, I havent seen a good friendly at any point lol

I hope one of the big guns wins the champions league this year.If underdogs keep winning it just devalues the trophy a bit. Although liverpool and porto were absolutely brilliant in winning it. Porto putting out man u was a fantastic achievement and liverpools comeback in the final was just immense

True, the championship's probably actually better than the SPL with the exception of Celtic and Rangers lol. I hope we do get Lundekvam, I'm very concerned about this defence, but Mo Camara has had glowing reports from everyone so far. Balde right now, is just a waste of space, he better pull himself together.
