Well, I couldn't have blamed you if you did. When I popped inside a Geelong grocery store my jaw nearly hit the ground when I saw kangaroo steaks. |

Kangaroo meat is becoming more common in stores as the meat is very lean and very healthy. When I was a kid , you could only get kangaroo meat if you shot it yourself (which dad, my brother and I did sometimes) , in the 1980s you could get it on special order from specialist butchers who sell game meats , in the last decade it his become more popular and has been recommended by the Hearth Foundation. It's not cheap though. |

Just polished off 3 Darby's meat and cheese pies for lunch .... yumm , yumm .... they were very nice too. Just wish they weren't so hot .... 3rd degree burns to the chin when the gravy got me back ..... ouch !!! |
