I am still not sure how that would apply to the points being made. The point being discussed, as I understand it, is whether or not a higher education should be made easier for all to obtain. I think it is quite obvious that every individual will not be able to take advantage. Some people just don't want to go to college/university or are simply not able to handle it. That is ok. But I agree with you DS, when you say it should be available to all with the ability, regardless of background. The horse to water analogy simply doesn't apply to this discussion because no one is saying that people should be forced to have higher education. Only that it should be available to them.
