Time to put something here

The postulate "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." seems to me to be missing a very important component, that component being the part where "each lives up to their highest potential ability" What say you? |

I've already commented my opinion in the Spiritual Journey's thread. Let me add by saying "the people," in short notice, start to believe that their need far exceeds their abilities, and start making demands. It is only through strong force of rule (totalitarianism) that "the people" are held in check... in ever-decreasing mediocrity. It is a downward spiral that results from the average person's inherent laziness. |

My own personal opinion is that the postulate as stated by Marx is missing the component of God. Or more accurately, I think he just took the Biblical "concept" and took God out of it to put it in a simple political context. In the Bible, though, it is acknowledged as a Truth that we all have different gifts, talents, and abilities and we are to use them to serve the needs of others. |
