Plus I doubt a Bus will take me to any of my buddies house's who live from 5 miles to 20ish miles away.

Get on your bike. I used to think nothing of cycling miles to visit my Aunt and Uncle on their farm or my Grandma. You can do 5 miles in a few minutes given a clear road and no really steep inclines.

Its good for you as well.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't risk myself getting on a bike in the winter. There is too much snow and ice here this time of year. I'm pretty sure that Rowskid has almost just as much snow.

It's just not that easy I'm afraid.

When I lived in London I heard all the time, 'get on your bike, get on your bike'.

There was a busy commuter road I often went down and about once a week I'd see an accident site where a cyclist had been involved. Not fatal I belive, but still.

Get on your bike? Not before you build me a bike lane.

I just don't see the internal combustion engine, or any other type of fossil-fuel dependant vehicle even existing in our world "100" years from now.  In fact, I'd be hard pressed to give it forty.

How dare you have faith in your fellow man! Just because we've eradicated many diseases, put a man on the moon and harnessed nuclear power doesn't mean we're able to find alternative fuel sources!

PS - Please don't fall into my sarchasm (Thanks Mel)

What you do is get one of those little bike trailers. You could actually ice down the thing and then put the beer inside, bike to your destination and PRESTO, cold beer!

Or we could invent a snow bike. Similar to the snowmobile, but powered by pedaling. :headscratch:

Snow has too high a co-efficient of friction. Pedal power simply isn't enough to overcome it. Think of trying to ride a bike through snow. Hard, right? Think of that with a larger frame.

Surprising, but I guess it would be categorized under Public Intoxication instead.

I know a friend of mine got stopped once on his bike by the police, who were doing random speed checks on cars, because he was exceeding 30mph in a 30mph zone. It was downhill.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
I had a friend who got a speeding ticket on his bicycle for speeding down hill in Tulsa, OK.

I believe that legally bicycles are treated as "vehicles". And I wouldn't be suprised if that means that you can get arrested for DUI.
