Are idependents voting for McCain???????????

I would vote for McCain if he is the republican nominee. If for no other reason then to make sure Hilleary doesn’t get the presidency. But I do like McCain independent of that however.

I wish there was someway we could get millions to write in Ronald Reagan in the primaries.

Ronaldo Reagan supported amnesty too. How would that be different from Juan McCain? ;)

Are there any pro-life Republican candidates running for the Presidency at this time?

Mitt Romney was pro choice, but changed his mind. He did not flip flop. He changed his mind, and has stuck to it.

McCain would come out as pro choice if he thought it would get him more independant/democrat delegates. He obviously doesn't care about the true Republican base.

So a man who has been pro-life his whole life is suspect. But a man who actually changed his position in order to first appeal to Bostonians and then to appeal to the greater republican base is taken at his word.

Ron Paul is pro-life
I think Huckabee is as well. I know that Romney has changed on this, that is one of the things that makes me uneasy about him.

Hoss,

Thanks. I am concerned about Paul's being a member of both HSLDA and the NEA. That makes little sense to me, except that he's playing both fields. Still, that issue is far less important to me as is his stance on the life of an unborn baby.

And, people in his cabinet have stated that they made a mistake.

Of course they did, the initiative failed miserably. What do you expect them to say that they stand by their miserable failure? They are politician after all.

That does not change the fact that the Conservative icon that is Ronaldo Reagan believed that amenity was a needed part in dealing with the illegal immigration problem.

With the way McCain talks about Reagan I wouldn't be surpised if he took his own position from the former president.

That isn't the point. Do you think Reagan would have done it a second time?
