Yeah, they usually take about 4 or 5 episodes to get past the cliff-hanger from the previous season. Season 4 looks like they are going to pretty much take the entire season to get over the season 3 cliff-hanger. |

Shaken, not stirred...

Okay, am a little over half-way with Season 2. The first few episodes were okay, but not as good as Season 1. They seemed to be more on action and it was hard to go back and forth between the three locations/settings. Then the Pegasus storyline just ticked me off. Having all those bad people on the other battlestar, including the admiral, I just couldn't see, though Forbes did a good job with it. I'd think there'd be more motivation to preserve the human race than that. ![]() However, the show is getting back into touching upon issues dealing with that preservation. The loneliness, endless running, confinement, hope and will to survive, but the gut-deep desire to just "get it over with." So the sub-plots about the black market and the peace group seem far-fetched to me, but at least build upon the running story. I don't know, I guess I just seem to think that when there are only 50,000 humans left and your worlds have been destroyed, everything you used to do would be thrown out the airlock. I don't know, hard to say... |

See the movie Razor after you watch season 3. This might answer some of your concerns about the bad people on Pegasus. |

I've heard of that...I'll see if my friend has it. That is if I continue with this show. I just watched Downloaded last night. I'm not entirely sure I can be kept stringing along like this... |

Yeah, they string you along and then all of the sudden they just burp out a ton of info, like on the last episode of season 3. The season ender for season 2 and the first 4 episodes or so of season 3, I think are worth the watching and stringing along. A lot of season 3 is unremarkable and a bit of a chore to slog through, but there are some good episodes. They keep revealing more and more confusing information about Starbuck get her even more shrouded in ambiguity. |

Interesting way to end Season 2. Though, I have to say it has not left me with a really anxious feeling to see what happens next...and that can't be good. I think they are de-sensitizing me. Either that, or I'm getting burnt out by watching all of these eps in such a short time. To fast-forward a year like that, though the premise for doing so is an interesting one, makes me seem like "something" is missing. Hopefully, they'll fill in what the Cylons (and the people, for that matter) were doing that whole time. But I'm in no hurry, though. I have a VBS drama skit to memorize...

I think you'll like the first few episodes of season 3. BTW, there are also 10 webisodes that occur between season 2 and 3 that you may still be able to watch online at scifi.com. |

They made a bunch of little short episodes that are only a few minutes long that sort of tell a short story about a couple of insignificant characters on New Caprica. It is vaguely referenced in Season 3 and it's nice to know what they're talking about. They'll probably be on the Season 3 disk set. |

I got the season three DVD box set. I didn't see them. AAR the following is what I saw in the latest BSG episode: Spoiler: click to toggle I think a lot of BSG fans will be greatly disappointed at this much hyped showdown between Adama and Tigh. The teaser continued with the fate of both races hanging in the balance. Stay tune, folks. It looks like we are heading for a really powerful series finale.

And I was greatly disappointed in the showdown. The last episode before Memorial Day was one of the most powerful I ever saw. This week's I spent wondering why I was still watching it. Characters would make bold statements that they themselves ignored minutes later. |

The big showdown between Adama and Tigh was exactly what I thought it was going to be: Two old men fighting for a minute and then resting. The only thing they didn't do was hug each other. |

Man, there were complaints that season 3 was sort of a bunch of barely relevant stand-alones, bracketed by the season opener and closer. So, now season 4 is the opposite extreme, a serial of teasers. What has it been, like 10 episodes now, and they have done nothing but jerk the audience around. At least give me some interesting stand-alones that may advance the main series plot just a bit, but still give a contained episodic plot. Not this every episode a "cliff-hanger - To Be Continued" in every episode filled with dialogue that doesn't really do anything but pass time, followed by a deceiving blurb about next week. I end up watching an hour long episode for about 5 minutes of relavent information. I'll still watch to see what eventually happens, if anything actually ever does happen, but I am getting pretty cynical about what was a pretty good series. Edited by Hoss, Jun 2 2008, 08:38 AM.
