Lorne Greene's ghost is the final Cylon? :P

33 was the hook for me. The miniseries didn't exactly move me, but 33 made me a hardcore BSG junkie.

Man, I'm not sure what to think!

Water was a so-so episode, but I can see that it was important for the running plot arc. Not a whole lot to chew on there - except I'm really confused now as to how the human cylons act, think, and what they know of themselves??? Boomer's reaction to the whole G4 explosives thing was beyond bizarre, as if she didn't know what she was doing - or was she pretending to not know what she was doing...??? :headscratch:

Anyway, Bastille Day was deep. I may have to watch that one again! Some intense moments, gripping acting (even by Sackhoff this time :P ), and contemplative philosophical overtones on the nature and responsibility of government vs. the needs of a crisis vs. the need of law.

Whew! :whew: This series is almost exhausting, and its only 3 eps in! :o

Watched Act of Contrition last night. Man, this show is going to have a lot of psychology in it, innit? :P Sackhoff actually did pretty well, too. However, so far Olmos, IMO, is what is making the show. McDonnell is doing a very fine job as the conflicted Pres, too. Bamber is a lot more macho than he was as Lt. Kennedy in the Hornblower movies...but I wish I could hear him with his British accent, again! :P

Okay, it said in that ep that there were 48 Vipers left and they lost one more with Starbuck's "crash." So what, do they find a buttload of 'em at some garage sale, later? At this rate, I give them 'till the end of the season to run out...! :o

I'm not reading the 12th Cylon thread...I know there's going to be spoilers in that... :D

Looking back in the series I saw several episodes as tribute to the original. The episode entitled "Water" reminded me of the classic episode "Fire in Space." :) There are several other episodes with deadly confrontations between the cylons and the fleet as well. These episodes are worth repeat viewing.

Tribute time - Did you know Richard Hatch was the creator behind his recurring character in the new series? :headscratch: When he first appeared I was half expecting Dirk Benedick to show up. I wonder if other classic series regulars will come back even as cameos? That would be a nice way to end the series, no? :chin:

Yes it is. And they're not even in spoiler tags.

I could have sworn that was Nana Visitor playing the sick woman on tonight's episode. She was the spitting image (she even had the voice pegged!)

Well another one of them already has. Herb Jefferson, Jr. who played Boomer in the first series came back and played...

Have now watched "You Can't Go Home Again," "Litmus Test," and "Sic Degrees of Separation." Why do I get the feeling that this show is playing head games with me...?

So far, the dumbest part of the early going here is Starbuck being able to climb into a Cylon Raider, patch a whole with a piece of cloth, and then get the thing's oxygen and fly back up to the Galactica. Too far-fetched, even for this sci-fi concept. Maybe they explain more later...?

I like "Litmus Test." Even though the witch-hunt/drumhead concept has been done to death (even TNG did it), they pulled it off. Olmos gets better every episode.

The most intriguing ongoing arcs are the whole "everyone is a suspect" tension and the Cylon implant in Dr. Baltar and his whole messed up psyche as a result - plus the strange religion element involved... :news:

perhaps you get the impression that the show is playing head games with you because it is playing head games with you. They really enjoy teasing you along quite a bit.

The religious element is one of the least enjoyable aspects of the show, in my opinion.

The Starbuck in the Cylon raider thing was pretty far fetched, indeed.

Can't say much without spoiling stuff for you.

Wait till you get to "Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down" :D
It's probably the only comedic episode in the whole series.

Also, the show is not big on explaining things. Especially anything tech related. You just sort of have to accept it as it is.
