What games do you play? I find myself playing a lot of Forza Motorsport 2 and Project Gotham Racing 4. I like Forza better, but I have beaten it and gained all the achievements. That Lego Indiana Jones game is addictive as well. |

Let's bring this thread back on course before it tangent into a gamer's thread. IMO Hoss, I think you had over analyzed the series finale. Remember the opera house was a visual metaphor of what was to come to be the final destiny of the fleet for both humans and cylons. We now know the real Kara Thrace died on a parallel earth more than a thousand years ago. Somewhere along the way the cylons decided to duplicate her personality and integrate her into the fleet as one of their human cylon agents. The one question that wasn't answered was why the cylons decided to duplicate the humans instead of creating their own models? We know Laura Rosalyn had fulfilled her destiny before she died. It's quite sad since I truly believed Admiral Adama would of married her if she had lived. I think the ending sequence was a perfect wrap up of the entire series. Remember more than 150000 years ago man created the cylons as servants. Over time the cylons evolved, rebelled and after a long drawn out war, earned their freedom and the right to create their own destiny. I like the final analysis by Baltar and Six. History had a tendency of repeating itself. However given enough time for changes to occur, the cycle would eventually break itself. Just something you might want to think about as we prepare for the new spin off series base on this highly critically acclaimed and award winning series. So say we all.

Read this: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Humanoid_Cylon I think it explains. In short, I think they wanted to better understand the human condition. |

I always realized it, but it really just now has dawned on me the magnitude and depth of the BSG canon and that it will invariably become more complex. |

If I heard correctly, it says "The Highlands" or something like that, which would suggest the northern, hilly areas of Scotland which are known as the Highlands. |

^^^ Maybe. One thing I've been wondering, is Adama the archetype for Adam in Genesis?

This is all more than 100,000 years before human civilization began. There were still Neanderthals in Europe at this time. |

No. No, I think the seemingly innocent depiction of robots as toys suggests just how benignly the trip down this particular road can begin. I think that, as with any series like this, if one looks too closely one is going to find some gaffes and missteps (i.e. Ellen Tigh's Cylon blood test). It's pretty hard to keep them all out. Although, I doubt that we'll see a sequel to clear up any of these questions. I look forward to "Caprica" to see what that story has to tell. |

I was standing in line at the grocery store talking about Battlestar Galactica and it's conclusion, and something occurred to me that seems undeniable... Jesus was a Cylon. Even amongst hardcore fans, I think the observation could spark heated debate, but amongst the uninitiated, that observation probably is heretical, but if you watched the series that conclusion is hard to argue against. All the people from Bible stories had to be Cylon's, and all of us are Cylons too. But as I thought about this, I began to wonder, exactly who are the angels from Bible stories? Who are these helpers of God who came from the heavens to do Gods will? It seems to me that these angels from the Bible are not the variety only seen in one's head such as the case with the angels Baltar and Caprica 6. The Bible relates them as concrete and real, and there is a multitude of these angels; just not two. All that makes me wonder if the mechanical Cylons that continued on after leaving the humans and human formed Cylons on our Earth, returned to Earth over the course of time and what is their role in human development on Earth. The more I dig through the canon of BSG, the more I conclude that RDM has a much larger story he wishes to tell. |
