You kept on insisting it's Cain, Hoss, but you forgot an important fact - Lee Adama. IMO he could be the prime candidate for the final cylon because of his abrupt behavior change. Think about it. Lee came back after he defied direct orders by his father and risked his life to find Starbuck. He then resigned from the fleet, became a legal counselor and start aiming for the presidency. Was this his destiny - To become a politician? In the first two seasons he was struggling to get out of his father's shadow in order to establish his own path. His behavior started changing after he sacrifice the Pegasus in season three. He jumped at the chance when Rosalin was abducted and presume killed in season four by the cylons.

Besides we had yet to see Cain returning from the dead since she was shot at point blank range. The only clue was the mysterious 1701-D room where the four cylon agents had met but it could just be RDM's tribute to TNG.

:headscratch: Just something you might want to think about.
The whole series Lee has been defiant of everyone except himself. I see no change.

I the last episode, it was pointed out by the 'Deanna' cylon that only four of the final five were in the fleet. And those were all identified. She indicated that she knew who all five of them was and that the fifth was not present. Unless this was a deliberate lie, at which point I lose further respect for the writers jerking everyone around like that, then the final Cylon is NOT in the fleet.

I don't know if Cain will return from the dead. It is alread established that Cylons can. It is also established that there may be more copies of Cain out there.

I am guessing Cain, but there are others who are gone that we saw before but none as significant as Cain.

I keep thinking Cain too.

Digi, I think that it waspointed out a good deal earlier in this thread why it cannot be Lee. That would be because of the fact that his parents, including Admiral Adama were human. Possibly present at Lee's birth but certainly witnessed him growing up.

The other real possiblity that I see, though not set up well by the series is Admiral Adama's presumably dead wife, that we have only see through Admiral Adama's flashbacks. That would make Lee a special baby, like Hera and Tyrol's baby. That would center around Lee Adama which has been one of the main main characters (in a series with about a dozen main characters) and be a very interesting twist. That would explain a lot of Lee's behavior, perhaps and set him up for continued leadership of the two species. This would also create a great deal tension with the implicit love-affair between the Admiral and President Rosalyn.

I think that would be acceptable in the established universe of the series.

One thing about this series that has irritated me is how the writers really love to jerk you around by establishing precendent for something or some part of the BSG universe and then tearing it down by saying it was a dream or a sentence heard out of context or something like that.

So, in thinking about it further, I still think that it is probably Cain, but perhaps Adama's wife.

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. :ermm: Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica, the highly critically acclaimed sci-fi series since DS9, is now in syndication. The series is being repeated on SPACE starting on September 8th with season one. Check your local listings.

Maybe by reviewing the series from day one we will figure out who the final five cylon agents are? :headscratch:

It might even stop Hoss from insisting Cain as the final unrevealed cylon agent. :chin:

Well, I could be wrong. It is hard to tell with the writers of this series.

You are right about that. These guys could go any direction. That's why I like the show.

I do too, but sometimes I get the feeling that they are abandoning stuff that they already set up, sometimes with a weak premise. It makes me feel like they are jerking the audience around. But, still, I give the series high marks.

Hoss,

What do you think happened to Earth? I think that Cylons nuked Earth. Another group of Cylons. I think that Earth and the Twelve Colonies evolved at the same pace, but were separated by the vastness of space. I believe that the people of Earth developed their own Cylon work force. These Cylons revolted and destroyed the Earth. We may see some new cylons in the rest of season 4.

That's my two cents.

That is an interesting theory.

As far as I know there may be 3 different groups of cylons now. The ones following Cavel, the ones who broke away and who are now apparently allied with the Colonials, and perhaps the other Five.

As to who nuked Earth, it seems like it must have happened quite a while ago based on the last episode. If it had been recent, I don't think that they'ed be able to land there and walk around, but who knows. Maybe the Earth humans nuked themselves, y'know cold war and all that. Could have been some break away Cylons that we don't know about. I am trying to tie Razor into this, but I don't quite know how.

Maybe they were on the wrong planet and that wasn't Earth.

Agreed. It could be another planet. That would really throw a wrench into the works.

Not yet. Hoss seems to think that it's Cain. I've heard others says it's the brand new Viper Starbuck came back in. It could be HotDog or Tigh's wife or even Adama's wife. Who knows. I think the writers are going to shock us.

Nope. We had to wait until January before we get the second half of this series' final episodes for the answer. :chin:

If you watch the third season closely you should be able to pick up the clues to the identity of the final cylon agent. My money is still on Baltar or someone in the president office since we know he is not part of the fleet since day one. He is the only one who is being haunted by a beautiful female cylon. He bought his way to power in the president office and he had signed the paper that condemned the colony on New Caprica to death. He also view himself as some form of god when his treatment managed to cure and heal the seemingly terminally sick boy.

I still want to know why can't the mechanical cylon speak? :headscratch: Note - They got nothing to say is not an acceptable answer.

As the teaser said, "All will be revealed." Stay tune... :news:

When members of the crew such as Starbuck, Volarii etc went back to 'nuked' Caprica they walked around fine, but seemed to have anti-radiation meds that protected them. Presumably, the party that landed on earth have these as well, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the nuking was recent simply because they were walking around ok.
