Some of us are already encouraged to vote for whom we believe in.

Great and a system of preference voting would make sure more people felt that way and that when people vote for minority candidates with little realistic chance of election that their vote is not wasted.

There can only be one President. We tried having the #2 guy get the VP role and it didn't work too well.

A system of preference voting doesnt mean your voting for more than one President.

This is not guaranteed. But assuming that it were, it is not up to a system of preference voting to make sure people feel a certain way.

Edit - I responded to your first comment.

38 - I really was only making a joke. The original request for someone to take action was made when another moderator was online. I wasn't trying to send a message to you of any kind at all.

I will admit that it was payback for what I thought was a joke on your part.

I over-reacted. I apologize.

I apologize as well :handshake:

I just learned that John Edwards has withdrawn his candidacy. I will try to get a link (or someone else can post it if they wish).

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
Sounds like a couple of people pushing for veep spots. I wouldn't think that Obama or Hillary would want to be saddled with Edwards though.

Guiliani, I think, would probably increase the chances for a GOP ticket if he is a veep. I certainly wouldn't like to have a McCain-Guiliani ticket.

Given what Guiliani has done for New York, there is no way that I would like to see him even have a chance of running for, let alone becoming, President. Thankfully, this will not occur now.
