This conversations reminds me of an old joke about customs. Hopefully you ALL haven't already heard it.

Quote:

An elderly American gentleman arrived in Paris by plane. At the French Customs he fumbled for his passport.

"You 'Ave been to 'Franze' before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked sarcastically.

The old gent admitted that he had been to France previously.

"Zen, you should know enough to 'ave your passport ready for inspection."

The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."

"Dat is impossible! You Americans alwayz 'ave to show your passports on arrival in Franze!"

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long, hard look. Then he quietly explained. "Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in '44, I couldn't find any Frenchmen to show it to."

I will probably never go to Israel or anywhere in the Middle East for that matter. I never said I wasn't willing to put up with it, obviously I did. I answered all their questions without hesitation, actually the security and I had a fairly nice conversation. I don't understand why it is necessary to look through all the pictures in my camera however and through all my calligraphy paintings.

Perhaps they got a tip that a drug smuggler was on your flight. and you as a young male (travaling alone?) fit the discription.

You're right. I could've had pictures of illicit materials. Good thing they caught that.

You could have, it is common for young naive men who are on holiday to be used for drug smuggling. The drug traffickers get young men who they trick into thinking running the drugs is an easy way to make money, that everyone is bought off and all the men have to do is walk through security check points. These naïve men buy the story and run the drugs. They are already not to bright and so I am sure many have been caught by what was on their cameras. Drugs at the party they attended the day before as a pre-celebration, know drug traffickers.
