The capsaicin can affect one's GI tract, especially if you aren't used to it, or don't eat very spicy foods often. Never bothered me much, but I would occasionally get heartburn.

I love Spicy, curry, Cajun, mexican, thia, you name it. But i don't see the point of eating things superhot. I like a good kick and flavor.
