Apparently we look like this now
This is great news. Hillary has suffered a devestating blow, and in the coming months, Edwards and Hillary will tear down Obama. Its moreso Hillary tearing Obama down though. Edwards will win the Democrat nomination, and the Republican nominee will mop up the floor with Edward's pretty haircut.

Huckabee will also be exposed for the fraud that he is.

/End satire...But it does have a possibility of happening though.

So what ?

A fruitloop religious fanatic and a coloured man won a popularity contest in a tinniewinnie state.

The only poll that counts in November.

Wow, its not often I hear that word used in that context these days.

In reference to Minuet's comment.

"Coloured" is not a term that is used these days to describe American Blacks. They are black.

Over here, it was used back in the 1970's. Virtually no-one here uses that term nowadays as it is rightly considered as racist and unacceptable.

Edit: Please note I'm not accusing you of racism Somerled, but I would suggest you be more careful with your choice of words. :)

Well I didn't want to use the term black , since he is not strickly all that black , being almost white in appearance (I know white australians who have better tans and are darker skinned than he does) , so I though coloured was the appropriate term.

If there is a more acceptable and appropriate term to descripe Obama, than I will stand corrected.

Note I have heard reports that he claims to be African American or black, but he is at best a 1/2 or 1/4 cast , maybe less. (No I have not bothered checking his bio or family history.)

I think the novalty of Obanma will evaporate , or he'll make some blunder and he wont make to the election.
Huckabee will also disappear.

That's all I have to say about Obama for now.

Continue.....

Obama's skin colour, Huckabee's religion and Clinton's gender should surely be non-issues.

Its their policies, opinions, personalities and experience that matter.

Huckabee's religion should be a non-issue, but I think that he has used it to appeal to those of the same religion in Iowa and to distinguish himself from Romney, who is Mormon.

I would rather that politicians stick to political issues and not preach to me. There is a place that I go every week to be preached at, and it isnt' the Capital.

So I guess you were unable to prove your allegation that he used his race to garner votes.

and the Republican nominee will mop up the floor with Edward's pretty haircut.

Isn't it funny in politics how if a guy is too pretty he's not taken seriously, but the girls need a makeover if they want to get anywhere

Not too many peiople of black african origin here in Australua , a few Sudanese , Zimbarbians , and South Afrricans , I've even met some of them.

Here they are referred to as blacks , or just by their nationality of origin.

Unlike in the USA where a sizeable chunk of the population are decended from black african slaves , and you probably encounter blacks everywhere everyday , they are very scarce here.
We are more likely to encounter people of asian appearance.

Like 38 said : the enthnicity or religion of the candidates should not be an issue , it's their policies , experience , education , and abilities that should matter and should be all that matters.
