Hey! Welcome to SisterTrek kara!  :wave2:

Is kara a reference to Thrace perhaps?  Just curious.  I'm a die-hard Niner myself, but lately have been obsessed with "toaster shopping" so to speak.  :D

That's a good guess. I was actually trying to think of names of women from Trek & found Kara from the TOS episode "Spock's Brain". :D

Thanks for the Ale STC!

Are most folks around here from the US or from all over?

Myself and Fes are from Michigan, a few from Iowa, a few from texas, and several other states. Trep is from the city with the 2nd best Hockey team, The Penguins. Because we all know the wings are the shizznet.

Where at in Colorado are you from?

For some reason the geographical area with the most members is Toronto, Ontario.

You have Yo-Yo, Ngagh, Hawku and myself. I don't think any other city has 4 members.

It is nice to meet people from all over the world on this site though.

We did a poll on the geographic distribution of our members. About half from the U.S., the rest from Canada, Europe, Australasia, and an American guy (Dr. Noah) who lives in Taiwan.

I live in Stockport (nr Manchester) in England, though I'm originally from Sunderland (the pics in my sig are from there) :) .

 Poor Canadians. On every site I've been to they're always getting picked on. :P Personally, I would love to see Whistler some day. The pictures I've seen are gorgeous.

Nice pics STC. I was actually born in Manchester- just not in England. Manchester New Hampshire. :P

Now that I think of it, I did see a map here the other day when I was exploring the site. I'll have to check that out again.

Your teams are made up mostly of Canadian players.

The NHL is a business like any other - they buy thier talent. The real test of which country has the best players is the World Championship and The Olympics. Canada usually beats the US at those events.

The map only allows one person per city - I placed myself North of where I actually live on that map because Yo-Yo got there first
