So, hi, welcome to sistertrek.

You must answer some basic questions:

1)when did you start watching Star Trek? What movie or tv series?

2)what is your favorite tv series (be ready to defend this opinion)?

3)what was the best Star Trek movie?

4)what was the worst Star Trek movie?

5)who was the best Captain? (Captain Proton is not an option)

My answers would be: my aunt took me to see TMP when it came out; Voyager; TWOK; TFF; Kirk.

i also like Battlestar Galactica quite a bit. I am working my way through season 3 right now with 5 episodes to go. I don't pay for the cable that provides the SciFi channel so i have watched the episodes on DVD and download from itunes.

I just noticed theres a lot of older members here aren't there? and when I come back from my basic army training I will have 900 pounds a month so I might spend a few nights with a few beers and go through them.

There are a lot of Stargate fans here as well.

But the current favorites among many seems to be Heroes or LOST, along with Battlestar Galactica.

I have never picked up Heroes. I just don't need another thing to tie me to the TV on a particular night right now.

^^^ I hear you! I like a lot of different sci-fi, but have never gotten addicted and attached to anything beyond Trek. Though several years ago, there was a short-lived program titled, I think, Space: Above and Beyond about a squadron of fighter pilots/commandos for united Earth defending against some aliens attacking the human race. It was a bit unique, with good stories, and excellent acting. I was sorry to see it end.

But right now, I have no time for a new series, what with between Dancing with the Stars and Hannah Montana! ;)

The common denominator being Billy Ray Cyrus. ;)

BTW, I watch one of those two shows every week with my children. I'll let you guess which one. :)
