Apparently we look like this now
Ok, I had that tooth pulled today, and I'm doing my best not to smoke, but I am having the nic-fit pretty damn bad.

I've had dry sockets before, and I'm not going through that pain again.

I'll put it this way - you do, I may have to pound on you a little bit.

How long before you can chew some gum, surely you can sip on some water when you have a craving. It should only last a few minutes.

Oh and posting threads about it....it only makes you think about it more... :P

The more you think about it, the more you think about it. I know it sounds weird, but it's true.

Try to find some activities to keep your mind occupied. I can't really think of anything, cos I have no imagination...but yeah.. lol

Good luck, both of you. :)

My dad had a wisdom tooth pulled when he was 60. He smoked a pipe and the dentist told him not to smoke for 3 weeks because you have to suck so hard on a pipe. After the 3 weeks he decided that he should just keep not smoking. That was almost 20 years ago and he still is not smoking.

When people asked how he quit he tells them we hid his pipe while he was under doctors orders.

Good luck and be strong
