I like dogs. I'm not good at keeping one disciplined though, so I don't really want one as a pet right now. I wouldn't have time for it. I really prefer cats.

I swear my cat understands me now. She was following me a lot the other day and basically annoying me, when I turned around and said in a firm but not too firm tone:"Stop following me, I don't like that!". She just looked at me, gave me a weird look, turned around and walked the other way. I had to laugh.

I'm sure I'll get a dog again some day, but not now. I have too many big plans for the future which include moving far away, so it wouldn't be a smart thing to commit to another animal.

Kate,

Your cat is one of the good ones. :)

I too don't have time to make a big commitment to an animal. I just don't have the time to do it right.

I barely have the time to do it right with my cat, but I try my best. I took her in as a rescue basically(a former neighbour abandoned her), which is why I have her. I planned on not having any pets again until I was settled into a house with lots of space and a big yard.

Mine's named Arwen. My boyfriend named her. I met him online not long after getting the cat. :D He's a big LOTR fan. The books, not the movies. :ZZZZZ:

Glad Ronald approves! ;)

We can't have a dog, because my wife is allergic to the dander. For some reason, cats don't bother her as much. Our boys would really love a dog, but I don't see it happening.

I like dogs that like me. Most of my friends and relative's dogs really take to me. However, in my line of work in the past, I've had some dicey altercations with dogs.

I like Golden Retrievers, Shephards, and the generic Lab/Spaniel type breeds. Obnoxious little tribble-dogs kind of irritate me, but it's best not to go back there, Franko...

Cats I really love. Don't know why. Just do. I like watching them; they're so professional at everything they do. Except for Siamese. They're kind of strange and never sit in your lap.

Make it so!
One of my dogs was throwing up for a few days some time ago. I attribute this to the heat...I hope that's all it was.
