When you shift gears in your car, do you look to make sure it's in the right position or do you just know by feel that you have shifted correctly? |

Manual , and I have been driving for over 30 years , so I now change gears without even thinking , I just do it more or less instinctively and judge by the sound of the engine and the feel what I need to do , and and I do not need to look to see what I doimg with the gear stick. |

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.

What's to look at. I drive a manual. There is nothing difficult about ascending or descending the gears.without looking. With an auto you can get a feel for shifting without looking as well. |

I don't need to look. I can shift gears by touch.
My car have an automatic transmission but my forklift at work have a gear shift. After my training it became second nature to me. |

Manual transmission, I never look because if I did take my eyes off the road I would end up stuffing my car into a cow in Finland because I drive that fast.

 I can't afford to be silly now, not with the car I have. For a start the more you put your foot down, the faster my fuel gague goes down, and secondly the acceleration is such that i'd probably hit anything within a mile ahead of me before I knew it! |
