When you shift gears in your car, do you look to make sure it's in the right position or do you just know by feel that you have shifted correctly?

Manual , and I have been driving for over 30 years , so I now change gears without even thinking , I just do it more or less instinctively and judge by the sound of the engine and the feel what I need to do , and and I do not need to look to see what I doimg with the gear stick.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
What's to look at. I drive a manual. There is nothing difficult about ascending or descending the gears.without looking.

With an auto you can get a feel for shifting without looking as well.

I don't need to look. I can shift gears by touch. ;)

My car have an automatic transmission but my forklift at work have a gear shift.

After my training it became second nature to me. :ermm:

Manual transmission, I never look because if I did take my eyes off the road I would end up stuffing my car into a cow in Finland because I drive that fast. ;)

 I can't afford to be silly now, not with the car I have.

For a start the more you put your foot down, the faster my fuel gague goes down, and secondly the acceleration is such that i'd probably hit anything within a mile ahead of me before I knew it!
